For sure, I totally agree. I find something interesting however; I hear this a lot about Tim Kerr (and I am very fond of him as a player) but I don't hear this same sentiment about Eric Lindros, in terms of "Hey with better health Lindros would have scored way over 500 goals ...". I wonder if this is simply because of likability? At the time I hated what became of Lindros, his constant whining and complaining, fighting with Clarke and the medical staff, his father involved, etc. None of this happened with Tim Kerr. Never heard a peep about blaming the Flyers doctors for his injuries. I think that is why more fans love Tim Kerr, and don't have that same feeling about Lindros. Now fast forward to present day, I have a lot of appreciation with what Lindros has done in terms of bringing awareness to the horrors of repeated concussions, and I think all players owe Lindros a debt of gratitude. But that the time Lindros was playing, it felt so awful to see what Lindros was doing, while Forsberg was wining cups with Colorado.

I still need to reconcile the Lindros era coinciding with: the Devils, Brodeur, Stevens, the Trap....and the Red Wings.
It is like a Greek tragedy, for me. Where we lose....horribly, in every aspect.
