Polls don't predict electoral college results. The popular vote margins were pretty close. The electoral college win came down to 80K votes. Well within the margin of error. Not to mention voter suppression and tampering factors by inside and outside actors. There is a cult populism of support mixed in with the hidden crowd not willing to reveal support that skew numbers too. But we will see if seniors and young/first time voters tip the scales this time. - NuckUp
I guess no one explained this to CNN/MSNBC. They are still asking how they got it wrong.
Pearson is playing in the top 6. Podz likely to replace him when he' going UFA so he still can pay off there. - NuckUp
Great... a line combination that can't score needs a replacement player of a similar skillset as Pearson.
Podz is the last thing Bo's line needs. Bo needs a bonifide play maker. He mostly plays with puck chasers and retrievers already and the 2nd line doesn't produce much offense at all..
On the other hand, Green doesnt like to add offense to Bo's line. He dreams of 3 shut down lines so Podz will see puck chasing duties on that line no doubt.
So no AHL development, straight to the top 6 when Pearson's gone? - VanHockeyGuy
I know right. Demoted from KHL because being an aggressive forechecker is not enough... even on the 4rth line(where his line mates get promoted). Kid has low offensive abilities, gets no special teams time/development... yet he's penciled in for NHL top 6 duty. He's going to have to prove himself in the NHL bottom 6 before he's a top 6 player. He cant keep a KHL 4rth line roster spot now. His NHL career is supposed to start in less than half a year??? Beside Bo or Petey? I'm not drinking that bong water...

Something like these future blends...
Miller Petey JV/Pod
Hoglander Bo Boeser
Hawryluk Gaudette Pod/JV
Motte Beagle MacEwen

Hughes Myers
OJ Schmidt
Rathbone Rafferty/Woo
Demko

These are all a guess given current players. - Nighthawk
I think Hogz skillset is a great match for Bo's line. It might be a little early for that when his season is over but his vision and playmaking abilities are up there and he does play the boards very well in case people are fretting about losing Pearson's abilities(apparently this is a thing).

They should bring back Pearson. But at a reduced salary
He's going to have to learn to shoot before he can learn to score. Not good at either yet. Thats a big hill to climb if you are projecting a 30g scorer. - boonerbuck
Not compared to other aspects of his game that he does very well.

Makes for a bull line with Bo & Pod. Needs a scorer to round it out.

I don't know where he's going to be deployed first. Maybe you have that insight. But doubt Canucks are bringing him from the KHL to play in the AHL. Given flat cap, ELC realities will be needed to fill in the talent gap.

With Pearson gone Bo needs 2 wingers. One of them could be Podz or not. I don't know how do you?
Just saying who's at the top of the current list of ready candidates.
If Podz plays top six then there's the payoff that was suggested. As opposed to your skill assessment of a prospect you haven't seen play on NHL ice.

Hogz will be at camp. Podz won't. We'll see how that goes first.
