Til they or if they can become more complete players it will be difficult to keep shots & goals down. Both players are complimentary that need help from linemates. The 2 on the same line isn’t a great option if they cannot bring more. It might be a small blessing TT is gone so JV can play up the line up. Playing Gaudette on the wing is not a solution imo he simply has to play better D.

Gaudette and Virtanen, If you filter out players that played 13 minutes or less per night. Gaudette and Virtanen are 1 and 2 in scoring.

5v5 they didn't dominate but they also made up for it with in secondary PP time.

They were on the ice for 10 more goals against 5v5 but they were also on the ice for 17 PP GF. That's still a plus 7 in scoring to the team. If anyone thinks Beagle and Motte would light up the PP if they got the same amount of time. You would be mistaken.

They are that secondary offence that more than half the league is looking for in the bottom 6.

It allows Canucks on nights that the first two lines in check that you can look to for scoring or if the first PP isn't going the second isn't laughable.
