Not it is not. If it wasn't for the electoral college, 3 states would decided the election everytime. Kinda like Quebec/Ontario. If ever they decided to go to the popular vote, that would be the end of the United-States. This is not debateable.

Yes, how many provinces in Canada? How many States in the US. There is currently a Wexit movement in Canada because Quebec/Ontario decidees pretty much every election.

I guess the problem would lie more with the two party configuration than the electoral college... still I find it (frank)ed up that a democracy can elect a president or PM while technically having less votes

oui pis non, si la population est concentrée dans deux États. Me semble que ça ferait pas de sens pour les populations des autres États. Ce ne serait pas vraiment représentatif de l'ensemble des États à travers le pays.

Sauf si tu penses que c'est juste une question du % de la population, peu importe l'État.

ouin j'avoue qu'il faut considérer comment la population est dispersée,... et aux États-Unis les états ont beaucoup plus de poids que les provinces au Canada, alors les enjeux sont différents
