Good luck with that. I just don't see a season at all, if the league had any plan whatsoever they wouldn't have changed the start of the season from Dec 1st to Jan 1st and now Feb 1st. The owners will not hold a season at a loss and without a paid gate they will all have a loss. They're just hoping that Covid disappears.
There will be a season. Heard nothing about a Feb 1st start date. The loss of a season is far more damaging than the notion just cancel it is the answer.
The league will approach the NHLPA with options that require prorated pay. Too much to lose on both sides.

The players won't accept pro-rated pay, that'll never fly with them having to deal with massive paycuts due to having over 20% escrow. Not to mention they'll never accept playing in a bubble again which is likely what would need to happen with the virus getting out of control all over the place.

How much money do the players get if they don't play? In many ways taking a years worth of salaries off the books helps the owners considering the majority of them have other significant business assets that they need to manage during this pandemic.
I suspect we'll get a season of some form this year with fans in buildings in the US. There are many ways to play the games without the bubble, I think we'll see a rotating set of teams playing series for 2 weeks and then have time off. With no international travel and significant testing I imagine they could avoid any self isolating.

We're in the flat cap era, there's no easy way out. Like all teams, will be relying on ELC's to be NHL ready.
Slow chat day....I guess you guys haven't been watching Shotgun Jake's Twitch stream? This training camp, Jake might need to do a couple extra crunches.

I’m sure as I stated I’ll change my guesses. Going on my 1st instinct. A few factors for each team could wildly skew the real results. Ottawa is my only comfortable pick.
EDIT:
Toronto 1st solely on offence but 1 key injury away from dropping.
Winnipeg 2nd based on Helly & top 6 F’s. The D can only get better maybe lol.
Montreal 3rd cuz improved scoring & all around depth health permitting.
Edmonton 4th could be anywhere from 1st to 5th but underachieve.
Vancouver 5th as a low but could rise as high as 2nd given the IT factor.
Calgary 6th is my lowball cuz they are so up & down but could be as high as 2nd.
Ottawa 7th only due to youth but won’t be an easy pushover on many nights.
