If I understand your post correctly I feel you are trying to be unbiased in your acceptance ("Normal People") of everyone's point of view or beliefs.
I was on a cruise last year at this time, I meet a lot of people, all the americans wanted to immediately give their affiliation right of the top, "
Really rich Florida couple - I had to reevaluate my friends because they were opening supporting trump.
Rich religious New Orleans developer couple - I don't understand how anyone wouldn't vote for Trump...look at the economy.
It was always the same with every couple we met, for ten days.. so all these "Normal People" were definitely not giving any benefit of doubt.
Over 5000 on the cruise...BTW not one Canadian we met needed to tell us about their affiliation to the Liberals or CRAP parties. - Makita
Everyone's on pins and needles in that divided nation. Once PA makes the count get ready for the angry reactions. The fireworks just get worse where gun toting is legal. This is just the lull before the storm. Its not going to end quietly, especially under a rising pandemic and flailing economy. |

Fun fact, more black and Hispanic voters voted for Trump then any other republican candidate in history. Bunch of racists. - Pres.cup
People have a hard time believing that blacks would vote for other issues like employment, what their union wants, trade deals etc over CNN narratives about Trump being the reason for racial tensions. Those narratives seem to sell much better to white liberals than any other demographic. Is it hard to comprehend that blacks can think for themselves?
The racial issue has been going on for generations. No one knows this more than blacks and Hillary and Biden are more of the same so really, it comes down to other issues. I mean, do they forget that Biden is on record saying "I don't want my children growing up in a racial jungle" or the fact that he fought desegregation. Do they forget that Hillary did as well and was with Berry Goldwater, the last presidential candidate to run on the anti desegregation platform? Nope, only whites forget that.... a product of dishonest media.

They live in a society defined by rivalry. The two sides have grown so far apart from each other they're failing to find anything resembling middle ground. Both sides likely feel the need to identify themselves immediately because the thought that someone might mistake their ideological stance for the opposite side is terrifying to them.
I can't imagine living in a society where political stance is the be all end all in defining where you go, what you do, and who you spend your time with. I have family members who I try to remind on a regular basis if they ever get fired up about something that just because a person has a different opinion on the issue of the day be it social, economic, etc. That doesn't make them a horrible person and you're still allowed to like each other and get along.
I only reserve write offs for people who are openly discriminatory of others or promote beliefs that could prove dangerous/deadly to others. |

Kinda my point. If you like "beat It" does it make you a child molester? I don't think my love for "Crocodile Rock" makes me gay. I posted Trump meme's = racist.
Were all the people you talked to gun nuts too? Racist? Uneducated? - WelfareWerewolf
Truth be told...at 1st my wife and I laughed...alot. Then it started to get freaky so we would avoid second contact, big ship and a lot of different ways to steer clear.
As for your correlation between music tastes and identifying with the artist, hmmm, very easy to draw parallels, and you do post some pretty weird poop, so maybe I should leave it there... |

Look in the mirror. Do you like yourself even? Bigots deal in grouping people to dismiss them. Normal people give their neighbour the benefit of the doubt. Keep talking though. - WelfareWerewolf

Holy (frank) dude. All you have to do is look at the percentage of the vote he just got which is 8% of the black vote and compare it to the historical count. The gains Trump made in black male vote were offset by losing black female votes.
I can find the links to legitimate statistics if you need help. Let me know. |

Most votes does not mean highest percentage, those are two totally different things, 11 percent in 04 was less total votes then 8 percent in 2020 and trust me, it was far more votes then the 40 percent in 42.
Total votes means total individual voters, not highest percentage of total voters. Google it, it's true. Can't find it now but it was on NBC last night.
Speaking of misinformation...... lol. - Pres.cup

As you'll notice, I didn't actually group anyone. But Trump and his team have. His success is based on appealing to new definitions that are more individualistic than traditional demographics.
The Democrats are still trying to appeal to blacks, hispanics, suburban women, etc. while Trump and his group are targeting angry people. Angry stupid people. Angry uneducated people. Angry gun people. Angry religious people, etc.
And hey, thanks!
- YeOldTimer
He lost me when he grouped normal people. |

Dangerous oversimplification. Trump is extremely popular with a number of groups:
- Uneducated people
- Stupid people
- Ignorant people
- Greedy people
- Religious right people
- Racist white people
- Gun people
- Anarchists
- Sycophants
Sure there may be some overlap among the above groups but, fortunately for him, there are plenty of registered American voters who fit one or more of those descriptions. - YeOldTimer
My friend is a Falon Gon monk, he is very intelligent and does not fall into any of your camps. He hates Biden and loves Trump due to the harder stance he takes against the CCP.
Things are never that simple.
