Do it.
And Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Zion, Acadia (these would be my top 5).
Glacier is runner-up.

It's a shame so many Americans themselves just go to the theme parks or Vegas for in-country vacation destinations, but Natural America is the best, even if it needs to be curated.

PS: All I ever did while growing-up was travel across the country and stay at the NP's (and too many KOA's) in the family's camper each summer. We even traveled all across Canada a few times (Banff and Jasper amongst my fond memories, as well as the parks in PEI/NB/NS). I never travelled on a commercial jet until I went to college.

PPS: I haven't been up to Alaska yet. That's on my bucket list.

I have done those two.

That's it.

I've done a lot, but I haven't done close to enough. Plus there's the rest of the world (as they'd stil welcome an earnestly humble American when the pandemic is over, and after the last four years).

I do want to see a lot of Canada again one day. Still have some distant family up in certain parts. Do you have any parks/natural lands/unspoiled scenic places to recommend? As well as cultural attractions?

Yeah but Montreal's public health shouldn't be making those calls. They basically decided that since the national level didn't agree with them, they'd just announce their own position publicly.

I can't say if they are right, but I can definetely say they are out of line.

Well one route that's fun is driving out to Jasper national park than down to Kamloops/Kelowna in the Okanagan valley than back to Alberta more south and go through Lake Louise, Banff ect.. it's a must.
