Tocchet is my all time favorite Flyer. From a kid's perspective he always got the timely goal and if someone needed to be put in their place, you put Tocc out on the ice. I still remember one goal where he was at the front of the net, a shot from the point hit him in the face, the puck dropped to his feet, and he tucked it in. That goal just summed up the toughness it took to play hockey and immediately taught me to never quit on a play, no matter what happens. He's also the reason I've worn 92 my whole beer league "career" (there are too many people wearing 22). Congrats on the honor Tocc. Thanks Mr. Meltzer for another great read.

He is a reasonably decent guy and above HB average IQ level (which is very low). But he forgets things, cannot follow logical issues, gets confused and has no self-control.

He believes he can overcome these issues the easy way: namely, by being persistently argumentative.

Just ignore him.

I only read his posts if someone quotes them. If we leave the board to people like him, it will plummet in quality even more than it has.

There is a lot of work to be done in this country. We have to face certain things, and tackle them head on. Just sequestering ourselves will not do.

Hysterical. You actually prove my opinion on you of being an elitist by claiming that the IQ of posters on HB is low. In other words, everyone is beneath you intellectually. If we want to actually look at who is forgetting things, gets confused and cannot follow logic, all we have to do is go back and reference the recent thread where you asked a question about having family members in advisory positions in a presidential administration. You also show a pattern of being unwilling to directly confront those who effectively challenge you and instead make separate posts in commenting on an individual. You attempt to dismiss those that you can't handle. That is also a reflection of your poor character and morality.


There is always a lot of work to be done in this country and unfortunately, if the current vote projection continues, that will be a major setback for this country.

I am curious about a pretty obvious analogy which is relevant:

If after the 1980 missed call by Stickle, if Ed Snider has never accepted the final result, and if he had forbidden his players to go to the handshake line, and drummed up a sequence of wild conspiracy theories, and asking the fans to not accept the result, would you feel he is possibly harming hockey as an institution?

This is of course not a exact metaphor, because that call was offsides. There is compelling visual evidence and none exists in the target of the analogy. But there was indeed heartburn at defeat, which there always is in life.

Part of the work that has to be done in this country is obviously looking at things that aren't being done ethically and legally. How judges are becoming activists. A perfect example is how the PA Supreme court blatantly subverted Pa law. There is a separation of powers issue in this country. Not to mention all the laws that are being broken in Democratic cites in this election. Then we have a previous administration who used the IRS to target conservative groups. Refused to act to save Americans and a US Ambassador because they were running guns. Illegally spied on and targeted a political opponent and a president elect, including wasting millions of dollars and two years with a bogus partisan special counsel investigation. We also have a major political party who actually did collude with Russians and foreigners in an election to fraudulently try and damage a political opponent. Then we had a completely illegitimate impeachment trying to again take down a sitting president back by unelected bureaucrats who were unhappy that the elected President elected by the people wished to enact his foreign policy and not theirs. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Do you think any of this is damaging to the institution?
