He should have been more decisive, but a declaration was made on Jan 31 by the Department of Health, to give states and Governor's the freedom to do what they thought was needed and the scientific agencies to studying the virus. The most upsetting thing to me about all of this, is that people - a LOT of people - still follow and vote for this despicable human (?) being. 70 million people are OK with his MANY sexist statements over the years (if you can't recall all of them, Google it). Disgusting. Voters for Trump ought to be ashamed of themselves. I've said it before : If ANY of us said just one of the horrible, disgusting things he's said, we'd be fired, asked to resign, or be forced to resign - we would be unemployed. Yet this awful person somehow became President, still gets votes, still has people brainwashed into following him. It's amazing really. People are more concerned with their money (I guess ? That's the only thing I can think of as to why anyone would vote for him), than human decency and morals. What if he said some of those things to your mother, wife, or daughter ? Would you still vote for him ? If so, you need to re-evaluate your life, as you are a horrible person too. What's that ? You don't care about those horrible things he's said ? You disgust me.

Yes he downplayed it and it was a mistake, not taking that away, it was wrong. But you also don't want your President coming out and saying we are screwed, because that can cause problems to. We are a democracy and the states govern themselves. It's not the Presidents fault that nobody was ready, people act like we are the only country that's in trouble with this, wasn't many that were prepared. Could definitely had been handled better, but any President would have had problems. And States no being prepared with supplies and medical personnel didn't just happen over night, that is years in the making.
