normally when 2 guys are having a beer, and their guy won and the other guy loses
the winner busts the other guy's balls with 2 or 3 jabs, and they move on
it will be interesting how many years this goes on, assuming Joe is certified to be the 46th president - navinrjohnson

We already have our Hoffman in Olofsson - Pegullaville
Sure we do. But x2 Oloffsons? Ok! We should want goal scorers, don’t be scared. |

Both play the same spot on the PP and have the same impacts 5v5.
So if you bring in Hoffman and play him on PP1 or even PP2 you’re most likely getting nothing of value from either him or Olofssonz
Seems pointless |

and you're leaving Hall out of the equation. He's better than either of them in that spot, if they want to go that route.

Bill's have the 3rd ranked WR Corps in the league behind Seattle and Atlanta. Know if that running game can get going, and the Defense keeps improving, equals very dangerous team. Look for Bill's to bring Poe in during bye-week to see if his conditioning has gotten better, would be a huge addition if he has gotten himself in better shape. |

The running game was fine both vs. New England and the Jets prior to last week. The reason they didn't run the ball last week is because they didn't have to.

Just trade Montour for whatever. They could sign Soderberg, use Borgen in a depth role (or higher) and they would be so much better.
I dont care if Sabres management gets a mid round pick and a mediocre prospect for Montour. If they use the cap space on a goalie or another 3rd liner, it's worth it |

I understand that, but even with those games they are only averaging 100.3yrds a game. Need to raise that up a bit, should help finally getting to the point of were the Oline is basically healthy. |

Just go 4 forwards on both units with Dahlin on one and Risto on the other. I've been advocating for an umbrella PP for years.
PP1/PP2 distinction indicated by /
1: Dahlin/Miller
2.: Eichel/Hoffman
3: Olofsson/Hall
4: Reinhart/Staal
5: Skinner/Risto
I'm actually gonna go 2 D men on unit two, but Risto is playing the net front with Staal for Kay-oss purposes |

Yeah what's wrong with 2 good PP. |

Nothing, but when the top guys log 1:40, is it even possible to have a good #2?

Assume for the sake of discussion that the Sabres top forward line is PP unit 1 (Hall-Eichel-Olofsson). That line is going to draw a lot of penalties. By creating a better 2nd unit, that 1st unit doesn't have to stay on the ice following a shift to create on the PP. They could put on the ice a fresh unit that's better than a gassed Eichel line |

Probably not, I mean that rumor came from EK so that means it won't happen with Hoffman. |

This diagram is wrong.
Numbering should start at the goal and progress left-to-right, front-to-back.
On a serious note, I might put Montour at the renumbered 5 spot...which I guess is actually either 5B or 10...doesn't matter to me. |

I feel like a lot of ppl here have counted out Asplund
It’s nice to see him scoring this year,
but we haven’t really seen him do that in the NHL
So his ceiling is probably as a bottom6 player
He could be competing for the hole left by Larsson signing elsewhere - jdfitz77
To me he is a bottom 6 player...no shame in that. He probably needs another year of AHL play. Maybe challenge Lazar or Reider in '21-'22 for the 4th line position. |

John Morgan from SBNation is a real tool, man just rips apart Allen even after a great game against Seattle. |

Hoffman doesn’t score only PP goals
18 of his 29 goals were even strength- 62%
Olofsson scored under half his goals 5v5
So not quite the same
And Olofsson got much better 5v5 as the year progressed. He was just a rookie, so it’s reasonable to think he can continue to improve |

Big decision. It's happy hour at Starbucks. What shall I order ? I'm thinking Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino or maybe a Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew. |

Cold Brew for me, they are pretty tasty. My Daughter works at the one in Tops on S. Park in Hamburg, brings me one home a couple times a week. |

Lazar is more of a 13th forward to me
And i haven’t really seen much of Reider,
except when they play the Sabres & this past year in the playoffs. Some here think he stinks, but i wonder how much they’ve actually watched him play
I suppose it makes sense that they’d get a chance at the NHL level over Asplund though,
so u could be right
I’d imagine Asplund gets some quality time as a call up at least though, so we should at least get to see him more up with the Sabres at some point |

Yeah, because you don’t know which Allen you are getting. I get ripped a new one because I point out Allen sucked during the titans, jets, chiefs, and patriots game.
And everyone can just see the Seahawks game where the hawks defense is shattering the single season passing yards against record.
Blind and bias. Someone on another site was convinced the bills are super bowl contenders 😂😂😂 |
