No not really, but Ion and the Wife would always be welcome if he came to town. People I respect are always welcome. - Buff36
Thanks 36, appreciate it.
Won't be coming back for z long time (I hope anyway)...nothing there for me anymore. My family is quite dispersed across the country.
Her family is there, but most have managed to come down here. Will go back for significant events...in and out...Most of those now will be sad events unfortunately.
I remained quiet for a substantial portion of this discussion...but...
Kitter, shut the (frank) up.
Yup, 70,000,001 voters are smart as hell, have everything figured out, and are right on every issue.
Yet 70,000,000 voters are complete asswipes and discusting human beings. Get a clue dude. His Policies and Results across many, many areas are historically good.
You voted against something...good for you, it is your right.
Most of the 50% who voted for Trump voted for Policy and Results and realize no one got it right on The Pandemic. Did we also vote against the ultra left wing wackos overrunning your prideful party...absolutely yes to that too.
Could he have done better with it, sure...did he have support in an election year from Demo leadership...HELL NO.
I leave you with this thought...the Demo's started to plot a plan to unseat Trump before he was even elected and flip-flopped on issues only because it was the opposite of Trumps stated direction...Imagine if they could have been actual adults and worked like they were elected to, to make the country better instead of vocally and visually dividing the country. The Demo leadership are equally at fault if not more so...for 4 years they threw gas and matches every step of the way
I suspect the Clown is right in that I can see Reps taking a very hardline with Joe...and no one from the Left should object after their 4 year poop show.
Let's hope Deadman Walking can get 'er done for America...if not Kamal will represent you all well! - IonSabres

He is absolutely nuts with most public statements ... social media did give him rope to hang himself. He was his own worst enemy not doubt.
I did love his treatment of the media though, was quite funny to watch. - IonSabres
His total disrespect and the disparaging of a decent American, a well respected war veteran and a hero in the eyes of many, seems to have come back to haunt him, too (especially in AZ).

Heās a disgrace of a person whoās going to end up in jail.

One of my favorite lines from any movie is delivered by Harvey Keitel in From Dusk Til Dawn
"Are you such an bumhole that you can't tell when you've won?"
If Trump had followed that advice and stopped acting like a victim post-2016 he would have cruised - jcragcrumple
Not that I 100% disagree, but this is taking a lot away from how horribly he handled a crisis, lost millions of jobs, had his own base all get sick including having a prominent former Presidential candidate die from one of his rallyās.
There are so many scandals that were worthy of impeachment itās not even funny

I'm not talking about his policies or whether he should have been re-elected. My only point is that he would have been re-elected had he not continually acted how he always had rather than trying to be somewhat presidential. Specifically, not posting horrible hot takes to twitter

I just think that sort of downplays his actual actions as POTUS.
For every moronic tweet there are real life actions that cost American lives.
Iām not sure people who werenāt motivated to vote, or swing voters made their minds up based on Twitter

The fact that he can get almost half the votes in two elections shows just how much the Democratic Party has fallen short and failed in the eyes of a great many people.

Trumps entire image is pathologically lying enough until people start to believe it.
I donāt think Iāve read a tweet of his or heard anything in a speech heās made with any relative truth to it since he became president.
Fact checkers are probably make a 6 figure salary now due to that guy.

Kritter, You asked.
Well, for ME it really is all about POLICY for the United States of America ā¦ not against something, but rather for real actions taken and real results achievedā¦accomplishments.
Here is my summary of why I have already placed my vote for Trump:
I) Help for the poor, underprivileged and minorities:
Here are the facts concerning Trump and the African American community as reported by Farah Stockman, member of the editorial board of the New York Times.
ā¢ African Americans benefit because unfortunately many, according to Associated Press research cited in 2018 by USA TODAY, are in low-paying jobsā¦the lowest-paid 25% of Americans had a 4.5% income boost in November 2019, outpacing gains for the countryās highest-paid workers.
ā¢ Pre COVID-19,
Ā§ African American unemployment was at an all-time low.
Ā§ Hispanic-American unemployment is at the lowest rate ever recorded.
Ā§ Asian-American unemployment recently achieved the lowest rate ever recorded.
Ā§ Womenās unemployment recently reached the lowest rate in 65 years.
Ā§ Youth unemployment has recently hit the lowest rate in nearly half a century.
Ā§ Lowest unemployment rate ever recorded for Americans without a high school diploma.
Ā§ New unemployment claims hit a 49-year low.
ā¢ Median household income hit highest level ever recorded.
ā¢ Under President Trump, 7 million people have come off food stamps.
ā¢ The Pledge to Americaās Workers has resulted in employers committing to train more than 4 million Americans.
ā¢ Trump signed the first Perkins C.T.E. reauthorization since 2016, authorizing more than $1 billion for states each year to fund vocational and career education programs.
ā¢ Under Trump, poverty rates for African Americans and Hispanic Americans reached their lowest levels since the U.S. began collecting such data.
ā¢ Trump signed the groundbreaking First Step Act, a criminal justice reform bill that made our justice system fairer and helps former inmates return to society.
Ā§ More than 90% of those benefitting from the retroactive sentencing reductions in the First Step Act are African Americans
Ā§ The First Step Actās reforms addressed inequities in sentencing laws that disproportionately harmed African Americans, and reformed mandatory minimums that created unfair outcomes.
ā¢ Removed the onerous Penalty for individuals who are unable to pay for Health Insurance, saving individuals thousands of dollars
II) Put America First / Economic Improvement
From an economic standpoint, the Trump administration has made great strides.
ā¢ Under Trumpās leadership, in 2018 the U.S. surpassed Russia and Saudi Arabia to become the worldās largest producer of crude oil.
Ā§ During 2020, Trump negotiated with Russia and Middle Eat Oil suppliers to reduce Oil production to stabilize the oil industry ā¦directly preserving American jobs while keeping fuel prices low
ā¢ The Trump administration made a deal with the European Union to increase U.S. energy exports to Europe.
ā¢ It withdrew the U.S. from the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership, a major change in trade policy.
ā¢ The Trump Administration secured $250 billion in new trade and investment deals in China and $12 billion in Vietnam.
ā¢ It approved up to $12 billion in aid for farmers affected by unfair trade retaliation, but announced a total of $28 billion in aid for farmers in 2018 and 2019.
ā¢ Since Covid 19 arrived from China, the economy is now recovering. The pace of the recovery is slowed by Democrat run states not opening their economies. Why canāt we do both??
III) Protect our Borders
President Trump is fulfilling his promise to build a border wall, with an expected 450 miles will be finished by the end of 2020.
The new wall has contributed to a 56% overall decrease in the number of illegal migrant arrivals at the border.
Under President Trump, the U.S. Border Patrol has arrested hundreds of members of dangerous gangs.
The Administration has made it a priority to end human trafficking and is using many resources to do so.
The Administration provided funding to support the National Human Trafficking Hotline.
The Anti-Trafficking Coordination Team (ACTeam) initiative more than doubled convictions of human traffickers and increased the number of defendants charged in ACTeam districts.
40 missing woman and children were rescued from human trafficking operations outside of Atlanta
In April 2017 the FBI arrested 150 pimps and rescued more than 100 exploited teenagers involved in sex trafficking. Taken together, the raids, which took place in more than 70 cities, constitute the largest FBI action focused on finding sexually exploited children.
RICHMOND, Texas ā Dozens of people involved in human trafficking in Fort Bend County have been arrested and charged in a sting, authorities said. According to authorities, āOperation Patriotā took place over four days in September and was a collaborative effort between 23 agencies and resulted in the rescue of five victims and 46 arrests.
IV) Foreign Policy
President Trump received three separate nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize ā¦Contrary to the 2016 fearmongering, President Trump has not initiated war with any other country.
ā¢ The United States has successfully decimated ISIS.
ā¢ Under President Trump, the number one terrorist leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was taken out.
ā¢ President Trump ordered the killing of Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iranās elite Quds Force and an evil, ruthless, and deadly terrorist.
ā¢ President Trump fulfilled his promise to name Jerusalem Israelās capital city and moved the U.S. Embassy
ā¢ President Trump held two historic summits with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, further demonstrating the Administrationās commitment to a denuclearized Korean peninsula.
ā¢ President Trump withdrew the U.S. from the Iran Nuclear Agreement and instituted the toughest sanctions in history to drive the regimeās oil exports to zero.
ā¢ Secured the release of a dozen hostages
IV) Energy
Ā· The United States of American has become energy independent.
Ā· By supporting Fracking, the United States is now a net exporter of cheap natural gas for the first time since 1957.
Ā· From the Wall Street Journal: āEnergy-related CO2 emissions in the U.S. fell 2.8% last year. The U.S. saw the largest decline in energy-related CO2 emissions in 2019 on a country basis due to a 15% reduction in the use of coalā
VI) Treaties
Ā· Facilitated treaties between Israel and two Middle East countries.
Ā· Moved the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem.
Ā· A U.S.-Mexico-Canada Trade Deal to replace NAFTA.
Ā· An agreement with the E.U. to increase U.S. exports.
Ā· Imposed tariffs on China in response to Chinaās forced technology transfer, intellectual property theft, and their chronically abusive trade practices.
VII) Healthcare
Provided more affordable healthcare options for Americans through association health plans and short-term duration plans. They will cover pre-existing conditions
Preserving the 180M health plans provided by employers
Many drug companies are freezing or reversing planned price increases.
Reformed the Medicare program, saving seniors hundreds of millions of dollars this year alone.
In response to Chinaās efforts to spread COVID-19, not in China, but worldwide, China citizens were stopped from entering the USA. it is estimated that there would have been death numbers in the millions.
In addition to the accomplishments above, I am also voting for ideals with which I align with and not for one person, I'm voting for the future of my Countryā¦these United States of America
(these are copy/pasted from the aforementioned post)
ā¢ I'm voting for the First Amendment and freedom of speech.
ā¢ I'm voting for the right to speak my opinion & not be censored.
ā¢ I'm voting for the Second Amendment and my right to defend my life and my family.
ā¢ I'm voting for the next Supreme Court Justice(s) to protect the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
ā¢ Iām voting for the continued appointment of Federal Judges who respect the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
ā¢ Iām voting for a return of our troops from foreign countries and the end to Americaās involvement in foreign conflicts.
ā¢ I'm voting for the Military & the Veterans who fought for this Country to give the American people their freedoms.
ā¢ Iām voting for continued peace progress in the middle east.
ā¢ I'm voting for the Electoral College & the Republic we live in.
ā¢ I'm voting for the Police to be respected once again and to ensure Law & Order.
ā¢ Iām voting for secure borders and legal immigration.
ā¢ Iām voting to fight against human/child trafficking.
ā¢ Iām voting for Freedom of Religion or freedom from religion.
ā¢ I'm voting for school choice for my children and my grandchildren to ensure their freedoms and their future.
ā¢ Iām voting for the continued growth of my retirement 401k and the stock market.
ā¢ Iām voting for a return to economic prosperity while protecting those at high risk of contracting and suffering from Covid-19ā¦I believe we as a country can do bothā¦NOT either or

We can huff and puff about the results of the presidency however the results of the senate will go much further in conveying what the state of your country will look like over the course of the next 4 years anyways.
What we know for certain is to expect more stimulus as they will be able to agree on some sort of package even though it may be lower then what the democratic government may like (if the republicans retain senate).
The fact that he can get almost half the votes in two elections shows just how much the Democratic Party has fallen short and failed in the eyes of a great many people.

I don't know historical differences, but losing the general vote by almost 3 million votes in 2016 and by 4 million this election feel like large differences.
Jesus Christ... No one is saying Biden is amazing
And ppl HATE trump bc heās a piece of sh!t
Even FoxNews is officially reporting its over
Iām gonna go have fun today instead of arguing with u guys about it though,
so have fun or whatever - jdfitz77
Yeah, don't think anyone said Trump was. Bad on both sides, hopefully they can get the Country working together somewhat.

Whoās trying to argue? I said people hate trump so much that a monster would look like a savior to them. Ironically, a very similar effect to how Trump got elected over Hillary in the first place.
