Stop disrupting the narrative.

Never!

Id love to see Miller EP BB hughes and schmidt on the ice together as much as possible. Super fast/skill transition line

Nice PP but nothing left for Bo’s line.

Doesn’t make sense to have our 2 best zone exit D together 5v5. No team overloads their pairings in this way.

Hughes & Schmidt will play the most minutes without having to be together. There is these things called PP & PK.

Your math is off. Your math suggests 15mins TOI minimum for the 3rd pairing. That’s not good if Benn is on.

Players don’t play exactly an amount of time. Kinda naive to suggest they do. Most teams top players play top minutes, it’s not too complicated. But i guess if it’s schmidt/hughes only on the powerplay that’s ok. I just like the idea of either guy being able transition fast and the other being able to skate into odd man breaks, and the transition game only happens 5v5.

Didn’t play much with hughes or schmidt last year and he seemed to do ok.

Ken Norton Jr won't be DC next season.

Naive? Not at all just rolling with your pairs & TOI you stated. Loading up is folly. When Rathbone is ready then I’ll maybe see it being a good idea til then I cannot go along with it.

I don’t want nor expect bottom 4 D to have nobody for skating the puck out of the zone. If you want Myers to take that on then live with it. It’s better imo to let Myers be more conservative unless behind.

Edler OJ & Benn will be easy to handle given your top pairing of Hughes/Schmidt. I do expect to see them together when down in the 3rd when TOI gets shortened for others.

He doesn’t have the horses & what he has he hasn’t found the right schemes.

Hi!

New blog is up. Vasily Podkolzin is giving me reason to believe that he could fill that hole on right wing in just a few months after his outstanding performance at the Karjala Cup this week.

All good teams ride their big defensive pairs. Tampa, Columbus, Dallas, Colorado the list goes on! I’d like Vancouver to fo the same. Hughes and Schmidt should be the TOI leaders on D.
