I really don't know how they are ranking them. Utunen for me is showing very little upside than a Liiga defender. It's not the greatest league. He's 20 and he's not playing top pairing, showing almost no offensive upside. He's 20th in D u22 in the league in scoring. It's not everything but even a lesser defender that is NHL quality would put up decent numbers in that league.
He was a 5th round pick, so he was always a long shot but he hasn't improved since the draft really at all.
According to them his skating has, well he wasn't a very good skater at all so who cares.
Costmar, Silvos, Persson all have more upside then Utunen does right now. |
