Made some fusion hainan style kung-pow chicken legs last night

Poached some chicken legs in a soy broth with garlic and ginger, cooked the rice in the broth after they were done

On the side made a veg kung-pow with carrot, broccoli, onion, cashew

sauce made of hoisin, leftover rosé, rice vinegar, balsamic vinegar, asian chili paste, some cornstarch dissolved in cold water to thicken, and some szechuan peppercorns for a bit of extra zing

chop legs up with a cleaver, serve on bed of rice, dress with kung-pow veg, garnish with diced scallion and you're off to the races

B

also you can't just tease bourbon onion apple porkchops and just leave it there, out with the recipe already

Straight forward. Sear the chops, remove, then do up apples and onions, remove, add some broth, cream and Dijon. Ran out so switched to Sweet with Heat. Turns out no bourbon in the house so switched to Ricard (anisette) added a few more tablespoons than the few tablespoons they asked for and 10 minutes in the oven. Will do some baby potatoes and salad.

I bet the pastis pairs well with pork, sort of like fennel sausage in flavour profile?

I drink bourbon, while I make pork chops with apple sauce and some fried onions. Baked potatoes as well, with sour cream and chives.

Well, I decided to walk with Jesus and avoid the fiery depths of hell. It also gives me headaches before I finish even half a glass of wine. The only times i didn’t get headaches was when I was in Italy.

There could be a solution.

Was there caramel in the middle? Can we agree that the word for Leafs performing badly will be landscaping? They sure landscaped the poop out of the third period.

You almost never get to hear, but I'd like to know where the Leafs had Amirov in their depth chart of prospects. If Askarov had been available, would he have been preferrable?

When Burke came out of the 2012 draft and proclaimed that they would have taken Morgan Rielly first overall had they chosen there, everyone (including me) was saying, "Sure, Burkie. Sure." But it turns out they would have. And it turned out pretty well.

- Monkeypunk

I always thought that was BS when he said that too. I’ve listened to Dave poulion on a couple different radio shows say that they actually did have Rielly ranked 1st on their list.

If I remember correctly - That year Burke said before the draft that they may draft for position rather than BPA.

Makes sense since the Leafs defense was considered "good" at the time and we desperately needed a centre.

My conclusion is that yes, the Leafs had Rielly at #1, but would have taken Galchenyuk over Rielly if he was available.

Who was it that's the huge Bond fan on here? Mussel?... Someone at work just told me a female has been confirmed as the next Bond after Daniel Craig.... That true?!

Not sure I'm ready for a woman Bond. And that's not a shot at women or gender equality and all of that... It's just that... Well... The character is named James.🤷‍♂️

Be a little (frank)ing weird if the next wonder woman movie was wonder man... No?

I'll give it a chance. Ian fleming stopped writing long ago so it's really up to eon to ensure the spirit of the character lives on whichever way they decide to do it.

TBH there were some pretty bad bond movies when they had access to arguably the best bond since connery in brosnan, so it's not all about the actor.
