Simpsons used to have the freedom and ego to openly mock Fox at every turn knowing Fox couldn't afford to do anything about it. Over time Fox started making money elsewhere and the creativity and all that died and it became about money only

I've been re-watching the whole series as a "We have 45 minutes before we go someplace, let's sit down and watch something" show. On S21. It's still got some funny parts and good ideas, but the heart is gone and it's gone from original story telling to almost 100% pop culture parody/references (which happened around S15 to be fair). I don't think there's an emotional moment after S8.

S8 would have been my guess as to where you really notice the decline. Who'd have thunk after almost 30 years they would run out of original stories to tell

et justement quand Christophe Colomb est arrivé en Amérique, il pensait qu'il était en Inde, alors je comprends que le terme "Indien" est erroné, mais "Amérindien", ce serait quand même pas acceptable?
