The only one any good was the MOFI gold CD issue from the 90's...quite well done. I have the original pressings on vinyl but would have to go back and listen. They have a few greatest hits out but not sure on the fidelity...will get back to you.

I went for the eq knobs a couple of times before the volume. That pretty much says it all. Very thin on the lows but still a decent addition. I doubt there's any difference between the British and NA pressings aside from maybe the weight. Honestly I am more impressed by how good MCR's Bullets came through for being a low budget production.

Yeah I had to move my bass/treble settings a few times with the Maiden catalog and one shouldn't really need to do that. With my system here bad recordings are amplified 110% lol. It can be ugly if the recording is bad.

Some of the low budget stuff is ok but one sure needs to be careful nowadays buying 'just because it's vinyl'. I have some MCR stuff on reg. CD but that's it...sounds decent but compressed. Maybe I will check out a record.

Many of the new heavyweight pressings are actually cut from the CD or 'digital' masters and not directly from the analog tapes which can be tricky. They have really capitalized on the vinyl revolution so it's buyer beware. I always tell people asking about audio stuff to research and read reviews before they invest in new vinyl. The best produced stuff is still the original pressings for the most part as the studio equipment at the time was conducive for analog mastering and transfers.

For sure. I think they were so guitar and vocal centric that they couldn't help but mix it that way. I like to sit back and not go for the eq every song as well. Tape just has a nice natural compression that gets lost in a digital recording. Plus I find a lot of modern stuff hits the ceiling so hard, it's overcompressed to maintain the loudness. You could never get away with such things on analogue gear without distorting.

So far of the three my Daughter bought I like Three Cheers best. It was produced by Howard Benson who worked a lot with Motorhead. Crosses over to vinyl well to my ears.

Normally I’d come in here blasting about non hockey talk but eff it. There is no hockey lol

Can it slow down any more? So slow I might forget hockey exists. We need something.

Is there a KHL or SHL channel?

Our family did grow a few days ago. We scooped 4 kittens from the same litter. We had 4 full grown cats aged 12-14yrs old but in the past year 3 were gotten by probably cougars.

Still lots of hockey talk on HF and Twitter. After we burn out what Carol writes about, that's where most of the prospect updates and links come from.

Worth tracking his development. A dark horse to make the pros but this season if there is one could decide it one way or the other where his career will go. Projecting him going to Utica is where it will ultimately be his proving ground if he shines in the NCAA.

I don’t follow either of HF or Twitter. I might explore HF but twitter is a waste of my time.

He's a 3/4 at best but lets take your 4/5 as middle ground. The 5/6 you got Myers at can come at some point but not before the expansion draft. Plus I'm talking strictly Canucks on ratings. Add more RSD and we'll see. But Rathbone and OJ ,like I said who could get to 3/4, are LSD and won't be replacing him.
- NuckUp

The guy has proven time and time again, he isn't a 3. He can't carry another player on the 2nd pairing.

What most people probably didn't realize is that he is literally born within a week of Madden.

Madden had 37 points in 27 games
McDonough had 27 in 31 games

Considering how highly some thought of Madden.

Not too far behind in terms of development but McDonough is 4 inches and 40 lbs heavier.

I just don't understand, it's not as if the Myers is young and improving. He is what he is now a days. Van's D is a work in progress. Losing Myers in next years expansion draft is nothing.

I'd rather them give all the younger more ready defenders a good amount of time to get adjusted this coming season so they can prepare more for the 2021 season with the addition of a stud defender that they draft.

It’s too bad your dog ate your book. It would be fun to relive the “would you trade the Canucks roster straight across for the Vegas roster” immediately following the expansion draft...
- 1970vintage

My dog eats lots of things he probably shouldn't but the book was not one of them. It was the baby that thought it was all BS.
