I'll explain to you, the scholar and academic the very simple reasons why people supported Trump

Less taxes.
More jobs
Higher wages.
Support of law enforcement.
Stronger military.
Better foreign policy
Better trade deals
Enforcement of immigration laws. Building a wall to protect Southern border.

Or we can go with the incredibly moronic comments that you made above which is just another way of saying Trump supporters are idiots.

Again, this is just another example of your indoctrinated elitism.

Here is an example for you. The city of Philadelphia is one of the worst run cities in the entire United States. It's been run by Democrats for decades. Yet they keep voting for Democrats? Why?
I'm reminded of a comment made by a person who is much, much smarter than you are PT21. Charles Barkley said "poor black folks have been voting for Democrats for 50 years. They're still poor!"

Wages I felt were rising pre Trump. Trump was just louder about it. I felt police always had support but got less support under Trump’s term due to circumstances, racial or not. Police have still killed Minorities, when you’re suppose to do what it takes to bring them to jail and in front of a judge. I can’t speak on stronger military. The United States has always claimed they have the strongest military.

Truth be told, whether or not Trump was doing good, his message was still getting lost in translation. Building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico just sounds like “we’re keeping those damn Mexicans out” to those with a basic and racially motivated mindset. To the basic, they think “thank god for Trump, he wants to keep those types out too”. So while they’re might be a good reason for the wall, basic people think a wall is being built for basic reasons.

You can still attempt to do good things and come across the wrong way. Making fun of your opponents during an election and mud slinging commercials do not make you respectable. You’re just empowering those ignorant people because you, the president are ignorant and his followers will follow in those footsteps.

All the factors that you guys are discussing: why are they resonating only with whites?

Everybody community wants higher wages, better foreign policy, less taxes, better police etc. right? Indeed blacks lose the most by having more undocumented immigration because they often compete for the same jobs.

How come Blacks, Native Indians, Asian Indians, Chinese, Latinos, Jews, pretty much every ethnic group etc leans the other way by large #s?

Why does Trump draw out so much passion among his supporters, the gigantic majority of whom are white? Why are they so ready to forgive so many things that would have sunk any other candidate in history?

Its not the foreign policy or lower taxes. Its not College. Its not wages. These variables affect many other groups as well. Its whiteness and maleness.

There is too much evidence for white male grievance. I wish people would not need to hide this stuff. Unpalatable things get more unpalatable when it is wrapped up.

All great questions. How can Trump get away with calling Rosie O’Donnell a fat cow nationally and televised or anyone for that matter and still be taken serious as becoming the next leader of the country. Well he did and he won. That’s America showing it’s true ugly side.

You really should apply for a job at CNN and MSNBC. This is really quality stuff right here. It's right in line with the liberal left playbook. Why are you wussyfooting around? Just come out and say it? Trumps supporters are racist!

Blacks, Native Indians, Asian Indians, Chinese, Latinos, Jews, pretty much every ethnic group always lean the other way by large #s? Never mind that Trump got a huge boost in votes by a number of ethnic groups. Especially inTexas and South Florida. By the way, Clinton got more of the same ethnic groups votes that Trump did in 2016. Biden won Miami-Dade County, where Latinos account for 58 percent of registered voters, by only about 7 points, compared to Clinton’s 30-point margin in 2016.

You're so ridiculously phony and transparent. People are not buying your bullpoop.

Watching the 97 final game 2. Wings got away with a lot! LeClair even burnt Lidstrom, just for Lidstrom to recover and hook him down as LeClair drives to the net for a legit scoring chance. No call.

Crazy Hextall was riding the bench.

It was something special to see such centers star centers in Steve Yzerman and Eric Lindros share the ice. Especially amazing two way centers as Rod Brind’Amour and Sergei Fedorov. When will you see this ever again? Joel Otto and Kris Draper, two respectable grinding centers.

I can’t believe Zubras was seeing more time with Lindros and LeClair then Renberg.

I would still love a Coffey 77 jersey though. Just looks good.

Its not just America. Its there in every country, including your own, I believe.

In China its the Han, in Japan its the Yamato, in India its the Hindus, in Sri Lanka its the Buddhists, in Ireland its the Catholics, in UK its the English and so on. The dominant group male is used to dominance.

The working class white male American has seen his position slip ethnically. Economically his position has slipped relative to the others.

Trump reminds them, directly and indirectly, of "better" times.

Trump had 4 years to Resonate and connect with everyone. It’s one thing to say “let’s make America great again” but Americans all want to feel supported. You can feel however you want about George Floyd. I didn’t know him as a person. What I do know is police on scene handled the situation miserably and after cities rioted, your president should go to Minnesota and speak. Show that you hear the people. He didn’t.

Anyway, to end my view on Trump and Trump’s politics. Donald Trump has been in my life, most of my life. Call him a businessman all you want and I agree he is that but he was also a celebrity before heading into office with his questionable personality. You can say all you want that he tried to make America better but America became a reflection of himself and Donald Trump a man of questionable character and values. Always has been.

I personally know several Trump supporters. I don't know anyone who was not horrified by Floyd. I have seen little evidence they are racist in the horrible way you encountered racism in the bar you go to.

I think calling them racist is a disservice to them and unfair. Many of them voted for Obama.

I think they are people who would be deeply offended if they hosted a dinner party, and if someone objected to a non-white person there.

But here is the thing: while they welcome representation of all people at the table, and encourage it even, they are culturally used to setting the menu, and sitting at the head. They are used to be the ones cracking the jokes.

Its not easy for a man of any color to give up power.

I’m not saying all Trump supporters are racist. That’s painting an entire group of people with one brush. What I am saying is, there is a large portion of racist people who support Trump based on Trump’s ignorance and how he chooses to speak to people. Some of Trump’s supports are old with out dated values. The majority though are white.
