illinois is out of control rn. i don't live in the city of chicago so it doesn't affect me but i am sure the dolts will be complaining. the gov tried to head this off 2 weeks ago by stopping indoor dining but a lot of restaurants defied the order.

so here we are.

ahh, would explain the defiance then. here gym owners threatened to open despite the confinement rules but when it was established that fines would be given to both the business owner and customers the threat quickly evaporated. common sense isn't enough, people's wallets need to be affected in order to respect those measures

They want to start school 2 weeks later after the xmass break to have a buffer period between the xmass vacation and back to school because they are afraid xmass will be a prime covid transmission period. Not close schools.

But I don't think they'll do it. Nurses, doctors have kids. Close schools and you'll have half the nurses who can't come in.
