Everyone’s entitled to their own thoughts...if one disagrees, it’s acceptable to express said counter-point. Your admission that you were “...a bit harsh...” is a clear confession that your words are deliberately confrontational, that you’re intentionally being confrontational. This further indicates a deep-seeded need to be recognized, whether or not it’s in a positive light doesn’t matter to you. So, you’ve been recognized for who you really are.

If you’d rather engage in adult conversation, with respect (which is something this particular blog is predicated upon - that means it’s a cornerstone philosophy..) we’d welcome an opposing view.

Thus, I would opine that your statement that hockey is in trouble is “...an insane notion...” could be substantiated by facts. Have you any facts to present that further solidify your opinion? Or is vitriolic response your default setting followed closely by disparaging those with whom you disagree?

Jeremy works hard preparing and writing his blogs. I appreciate that. It's the polar opposite of what the former Red Wings blogger did on here. Mister Copy and Paste Bob Duff. This idiot troll came on here and insulted Jeremy personally which was uncalled for. It's fine to disagree with what Jeremy writes.

But discuss why you disagree with it in a respectful manner. The idiot troll never did that. He's incapable of having an actual hockey discussion with anyone. He's been trolling on HB for years adding nothing but negativity. I'll gladly take a ban for defending Jeremy. All I ask is that this troll be banned as well.

The guy has been trolling hockey buzz for years and it's always the same negativity being spewed with no substance. I doubt he could name 10 Canucks players without googling it first.

I actually read ONE blog from Duff and didn’t come back until I saw he departed...colour me unimpressed with his style. Jeremy does put a great deal of effort into each post, thus my drive to make “That Guy” try to justify his opinion knowing damn well 1). He couldn’t, and 2). He’d look rather untoward when he couldn’t. Think both methods of engagement were pretty effective, but your was more witty & cutting, as usual 👏🏻

Maybe I was raised differently, or have softened in my old age, but I really kinda feel sorry for people like them. The false bravado and overwhelming need to ridicule others has got to push “friends” away...they must be lonely. Sucks to be like that and know that their final breath will be taken alone.

I really do enjoy J’s blog. I like the people, the respect, the organic need to listen to each other & engage in constructive debate and good-natured FUN. J’s done one helluva job building a pretty cohesive group here. Methinks I shall hang around here; Feels like a genuinely GOOD place to be.

It is sad, but I’m learning how to ID trolls more quickly now. Am by no means well-versed in any types of “social” media such as this, but I learn quickly how to tell a punk when I read one. Just don’t see what they gain by acting the way they do. Boggles my mind, I wasn’t raised that way.

ANYWAY.... w/$9.5m in cap space, what’s the next move? 🤔
