I really wish that teams would stick to two jerseys each, home & away. I pay good money to buy both jerseys for all my favorite teams. If teams are going to start wearing 3,4 & 5 different jerseys then I'm going to stop buying and wearing jerseys all together. When I was a kid, I feel that jerseys were something special. Primary jerseys don't mean anything anymore and I am getting very frustrated about it.

These teams are in the marketing business so selling jerseys is a vital part of a revenue stream. Why should a team be limited to two jerseys? There is certainly no NHL bylaw mandating it so is there something magic about two?

Outside of the great Red White and Blue color scheme, the diagonal block lettering of the Rangers jersey is awful. Cant stand it. Again, why emulate the Rangers?>

But after the first 20 years of utter and complete failure why would anyone want to have a retro CBJ jersey?

It took us 19 years to win a playoff series, 14 or 15 years before we even won a playoff game, and disastrous season after disastrous season from year two on.

The first two decades of the franchise are an out-of-control dumpster fire, who wants to remember them? Being more or less mediocre as we are now are the only good times to remember.

If they were doing a retro jersey they should base it on the Ohio State 1968 National Championship jersey, or the 1990 Cincinnati Reds jersey when they last won the World Series. It's not a hockey jersey, but it's at least a time when a team Central Ohio supported won something.

I can't argue with that. It is just my personal wish that teams stuck with a home & an away. Teams have every right to market as many jerseys as they wish. I don't feel a need to see multiple jerseys for each team, that is all.

Adidas did a good job with these for the most part.

Hawks - Probably my favorite one of the bunch - as a Devils fan I may just be drawn to the color combo lol, but I like the design, super clean, not too busy or abstract.
Devils - The true Christmas Trees! - also may be biased for same reason as above
Canes/Hartford - Just classic - one the all time best logos. I may have to get one!
Avs - Creative mashup, another great logo from the NHL vault
Jets - Smooth color combo & striping, awesome jersey.

Habs/Wild/Oilers/Isles/Leafs - all clean, classy old school designs. Not too busy.

- The Stars Silver letters on white jersey makes them hard to see
- The Red Wings jersey looks like its for practice squad B

The way the NHL unveiled the sweaters was dumb
They should have just laid them out on a background with front and back shots.
Using models made for an inconsistent look at each sweater....such as not getting a clear shot of the front of the Hawks jersey.

A few thoughts:

1) Hartford Whalers. Not Whale. Like seriously.

2) I like the LA Kings jersey. The only thing to make it even better is to get Lafreniere on the back.

3) I wonder if Hoffman has been waiting to see these jerseys unveiled. Maybe he signs tomorrow after imagining what he would look like in each jersey. Perhaps LA is an option. King Hoff!
