What is a matter with all of you, as fans we are supposed to like everything Canucks, which includes the many crappy jerseys, the bad coaches/management and most importantly, Loui Erickson. - Reubenkincade

21-22 will probably have the same amount of cap space but Van will have more potential upside in the roster.
For me, this is the year to test all the kids in different situations. It's a very strong draft. Don't need to get rid of all the vets and all of them right now but it's time to see how replaceable they are with what's in the system. - manvanfan
Sutter, Pearson, Sven, Edler, Benn are UFA's, they'll have options.

Some owners may be better off financially to not play the season
Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun: Ottawa Senators owner Eugene Melnyk said that NHL commission Gary Bettman and deputy commissioner Bill Daly are doing all that they can to get the 2020-21 NHL season going.
There are a lot of financial concerns for teams, especially ones that rent their arenas.
“You’ve got 31 different interests. Many are aligned and many aren’t aligned. You throw the government and medicines in on top of that, you almost need an algorithm to figure out what actually will work here,” said Melnyk. “If (some teams) open the door up there’s a big cheque that has to be written to whoever owns the stadium.
“It’s almost to them and others who sit there and say: ‘Hey, I’m better off not playing. I’m better off financially not playing.’ Guys like me, we own the stadium and the team, and we don’t have the obstacles some others do. There’s so many moving parts. It’s very complex … Everybody wants the same thing, everybody wants to play. They wish they could turn the clock back to January and get on with it.” |

Yeah, I'm not expecting a season for these exact reasons. Rich people don't like losing $$ that's why they are rich. |

I tried pointing this out the other day to one of the posters, not sure if anyone caught on to what I was trying to say though. |

I can. They are gross. That was an era of high hopes and crushing disappointment. Thanks for the memories of another promising period that ends in a fiery bus crash. - Marwood
Unlike the other eras of success we have to draw from. |

It might cost them money to play this season, but that's likely in their best interests when you consider franchise values over the long term. Even billionaires can't afford to have customers lose interest in their product. |

I don't know how others feel about this, but I wouldn't be upset if a few teams end up folding. Maybe then we could start seeing some of the bottom teams actually have some more players that are nhl quality. |

Sponsorship deals, tv deals could take a hit potentially on next contracts. Some owners are better off than others every year. |

I like the retros. Those that don’t mostly hate Orca Bay just to hate & sure make a big deal out of nothing. Colour scheme really pops. - Nighthawk
Agreed.
Like most here, the Orca is not my favourite logo.
But i actually like the colour scheme and the blue trim around the C.
I think it'll look cool on the ice.
That StL Blues jersey on the other hand.
The Dallas stars one sucks too imo
Love the Whalers and Nords throwbacks tho.
The LAK and Wild colour schemes are great too.
Anaheim and Arizona ones are far out.
Appreciate the boldness.
Anyone know how many games they plan on wearing these (assuming there is a season)? |

Don't forget the draft pick busts, the kids that go the University route and opt for free agency and Finn. Gotta hate that guy.

Brandon Sutter or Loui Eriksson.

Haven't lived there in a quite awhile.
Fun as a kid.
I love it in the Autumn still, but not my kinda place to live full time.
But hey, anywhere must be an upgrade on Winnipeg.
I hear Powell River is the spot these days. |

Smithers, too far North.
I also said I was considering moving West. |

But it’s the perfect symbolism of a mismanaged pro sports franchise.
One of these days an ever-patient and loyal fan base will be rewarded. |

Isn’t Salmon Arm and Nelson supposed to be the nicest spots on B.C.? I haven’t been to either but always hear about them. |
