Thanks Carol. Would your contact know if SKA is apt to take on transfer agreements? Like would they part with Podz, post WJC, for a couple waived vets? As in on loan all paid for by the Canucks? - NuckUp
Going from MTAs to inter-league trades.... Nice! You put the real in surreal. đź‘Ť |

Out of box takes to get ahead isn't a bad way to lean. Its all plausible situations that have happened before. Reassignments, loans, termination and money transfers. It can be a path to pursue with the right timing and will. |

Yes. But
For players u24 only Jonathan Dahlen and Jens Looke have higher PPG. Both are 2 years older than Karlsson.
For players his age Evan Bouchard 10oa, David Gustafsson 60oa, Aleksi Heponiemi 40oa, Isac Lundestrom 23oa.
All his age from his draft year all below him now in points and PPG.
Keeping good company. |

Ask Manvan who's following him. I think he's below Focht on the center prospect depth chart so he's not on my radar of making an NHL impact. |

That’s cool - could he get called up this year? How does that work?

I just don't think you're thinking out of the box enough!
I like your proposition so let me counter:
Louie Eriksson to the SEL. SEL team sends a player to SKA who send pod to Canucks. Easy peasy.
Next trade.
Sutter to Acme Ranch in Alberta. It's not a hockey team but Sutter gets traded there on a consultancy contract with Canucks picking up his salary. Acme ranch agrees to provide the Tampa Bay lightning with free Alberta beef for 2 years. TB sends Cernak to the Canucks.

Says his contract ends 20/21 so they could if they wanted too. Chances of him getting called up and playing are likely about slim to none. Maybe to play in Utica.
He's still quite aways away from being NHL ready. |

joker .... trades.... only you brought that up. So ever hear of loaning players? Like ones that are waived with no Utica playing. |

He's been playing wing all season. I don't think he will be an NHL centermen.
IMO Karlsson is ahead of Focht on Canucks player ranking. Maybe by a single spot but he's better than Focht. |

"Like would they part with Podz, post WJC, for a couple waived vets..."
So you're exchanging players but it's not a trade? |

Isn't he still playing in the 2nd tier league at the age of 21? Or am I mistaken? Either way his potential seems limited.
Edit: I see this was answered above. |

No its not a trade when Canucks own the rights to all and are paying for all. Plus I clarified in next sentence as in on "loan" but you neglected that to have a lark. |
