We just need to build a wall around Brampton.

Woah! Gary asks for an additional 16% in deferred salaries and escrow in last three years of deal

About that Jan 1 start date....

- Canada Cup

Sportsnet had a piece - owners gave them 2 "requested" amendments. The article said basically the owners are looking to recover/save about 300 million over the course of the 6 year CBA.

Big picture that's not huge so I think both sides will work it out.

If I'm the players, I take it.

Gotta get this thing moving, or you risk losing an entire year of salary.

I think about doing something for one year. No reason to think there’s three years of trouble: new tv deal, fans back at some point.

they had a look and clay pipe going out to street, looks good. We also have a backwater valve down there now so we have easy access if we ever need.

Also all the clay pipe that remains under the concrete slab will be disconnected and disused.

- TheMussel

Nice. Ya we left the clay under the front yard and just replaced all the clay under the slab. Our front yard is basically City land once I step off my porch.

Hey y'all, is asking for a 15% raise unreasonable?

Took on a lot of responsibility (you could say it's a new role and promotion) over the last year, as well as a direct report.

No, I couldn't accept all 7 days of religion so they wouldn't let me in. I was good for a day or two ...maybe 3 some weeks. But when I requested 3 days for hard drinking and a day or two for surfing porn they wouldn't go for it.

However, I do love me some real Sloan.

She told me to read between the lines
And tell her exactly what I got out of it
I told her affection had two F's
Especially when you're dealing with me

His personality hasn't really soured on me. I just get angry everytime I see him in a commercial.

He destroyed the Leafs in those contract negotiations. He got massive bonuses/a cap hit 1.5 million too high/to play for a team that allows him to get endorsements/to stay near home/6 years instead of 8...

The leafs didn't get any concessions from the Marner camp as far as I'm concerned.

- Leafs43

so why be mad a marner for that?
That seems like dubies fault, no?

Are you dealing with government budgets? if not it's all about leverage. Nothing is unreasonable if they need you.

I'm dealing with a dept. that has money to burn and I have a really good decade long relationship with my boss. We already talked about an increase and he said he'd rubber stamp it as long as it's reasonable. Just trying to figure out what reasonable is, don't want to make this awkward.

I took on a 45% increase in responsibility and was laughed out of the building.

He better come back with his shiit together, or the fans will be wanting his old man's head on a platter.

- bixll

Wait, Marner got 67pts in 59 games while not having his shiit together?

Oh to be so lucky.

- Fakepartofme

Marner wanted as much as possible and we cant entirely fault him for that, it is his right to get paid.

He is a superstar and every team in the league would of paid him that on a 6 year deal(strong arguments can be made most GMs would of bridged him instead) It is what it is and with the contract he has he will be the guy that will be traded if the leafs ever need to shake up the core.

AM is our guy anyways. With that being said a strong year by this team next year and all that talk goes into the garbage.

I think JT is AM's long term winger...

JT wont be on AM's wing on a consistent basis for many years if that.....we dont have a 2nd line quality center like JT...and no Willie is not it.
A strong year wont matter as much, its a strong playoffs really matters.

I agree, I don’t mind if jt plays with Matthews late in a game or something but not on a game to game basis.

4 apples in 5 games, meh.

But how was it for the whole team?

Not good.

They shot 2% at 5v5....apparently the lowest five game playoff total since these stats have been recorded.

Ya that wont occur unless a replacement center is found.
