I'm dealing with a dept. that has money to burn and I have a really good decade long relationship with my boss. We already talked about an increase and he said he'd rubber stamp it as long as it's reasonable. Just trying to figure out what reasonable is, don't want to make this awkward.

They usually paid me more than what I would have asked for.

I wouldn't think it unreasonable but department culture will come into play. Any colleagues in similar spots that you can buy a virtual beer and ask?

Or, if the relationship is good then make the ask and they won't be offended they'll just come back with what they say is reasonable.

A year and a half is when I started in this department, same rate since then

JT wont be on AM's wing on a consistent basis for many years if that.....we dont have a 2nd line quality center like JT...and no Willie is not it.
A strong year wont matter as much, its a strong playoffs really matters.

They can most certainly try to develop Willie for the 2C role.

Rome wasn’t built in a day. Willy could be the 2C or they could even trade for one at the deadline.

A reliable NYR Insider reported Strome should be available at the TDL.

1-2 punch down the middle has failed recently and it is obvious Keefe wants to push JT-Matthews-Marner because he pushed it during playoffs.

It was a dominant line and if they can figure out a good mix for the bottom 9 group they can make it work.

I am not saying this is for certain but it is pretty blatantly obvious they want to push it.
