All these stops are clearly created by Gretzky to stop OV from passing him in goals scored.

I'm really cheering for OV on this one.

Still think Shea Weber is exactly the kind of missing piece for the Leafs to contend for the cup, for what it's worth.

Too bad you'll never have him.

- Scabeh

I could see the Leafs signing him as a UFA at age 41.

I wish I was kidding.

True Wedgie Story:

Woke up one morning to tremendously bad smell. My basement washroom is flooded with poop.

I assume it's the clay pipes, as we have a giant tree on the front yard. Call the City, hoping it's on their land.

They scope it, conclude the clay pipes have collapsed - luckily, it's on their land - sweeeeet, I don't have to pay.

As they dig, they discover something very interesting:

A year before the collapse, the city had replaced the water lines on our street. The crew working it (private company contracted to the City of Toronto) had broken my sewage line, and rather than admitting to what they had done, they cut a giant traffic cone in half and laid it on top, then covered up their work.

I'm not pooping you - half a franking traffic cone.

The City ended up deeming half of my front yard to be toxic, and had to completely remove the soil to about 10 feet deep and replace it.

I didn't have to pay a thing (although I had to bleach the poop out of my downstairs - and I mean that literally). I spoke with the City - they were furious and vowed that they were going to sue the company to recover every franking penny.

- Atomic Wedgie

So many bad stories of City contractors. But worked out nicely.

My repair was a total win too. I had been having tree root backups every two years and I'd auger it out myself and buy myself two more years. It was a like routine agreement the house and I had and it worked great for about 10 years until the summer of 19' when Ms. Law had had enough.

She had had enough of my cheapass bandaids and demanded I get some quotes. We were looking at a basement flooring/trim reno so we got the whole thing quoted. Dig it up ...new pipes, add a backflow, and redo the whole flooring/trim with insulated waterproof plywood. Was going to be about $30k.

I got busy at the office and pushed it off. Then Ms. Law decided one day to do about 17 loads of laundry and the pipes backed up. I was away. The whole basement was covered in poop ...an inch or two deep in spots. She called the plumber and the insurer before calling me (smart on her part) and the whole thing was covered by insurance. Flooring, rugs, drywall, trim, furniture.

My whole reno was done in two weeks and paid for by the good folks at Economical Insurance.

Ms. Law owes me big for that one.

They can most certainly try to develop Willie for the 2C role.

Rome wasn’t built in a day. Willy could be the 2C or they could even trade for one at the deadline.

A reliable NYR Insider reported Strome should be available at the TDL.

1-2 punch down the middle has failed recently and it is obvious Keefe wants to push JT-Matthews-Marner because he pushed it during playoffs.

It was a dominant line and if they can figure out a good mix for the bottom 9 group they can make it work.

I am not saying this is for certain but it is pretty blatantly obvious they want to push it.

- Santo_44

the 1-2 punch down the middle does work, it works for most teams.
Keefe pushed a bit of JT with AM to try get something from the team.
But yes its obvious, JT will remain at center for now.
Maybe once in a blue moon to overload the other team, move JT up.....but it wont be on a consistent basis.

Loading up works for a lot of teams too....Cup winning teams.

We'll see, I think Keefe will try it a lot.

jokes on Trump, I would go to court for him got 10k to not understand whats going on
- senstroll

They’re not even trying to win in court. They just want to throw enough poop in the air so that the people who certify the elections say (frank) it, we’re giving it to Trump. If that doesn’t work, then all the Tumbleweeds spend four years believing Trump was robbed and are ready to vote back.

I was hoping this would be a comical post, but it's not, it is a sad reality... Trump will win in 2024.... Tumbleweed's will unite.

Yes, but the whole time the RNC and Trump are running their scam "election legal defence fund" where no money actually goes to their "legal defence" - it just goes straight into slush funds they can spend on whatever they want.

$20K a day is nothing when you are scamming 73 million people.

But apparently Rudy isn't using that money to get a proper hair dye job:

Nope.

Two sets of justice in America.

If Trump was going to jail, he would have gone in the 1980s.
