The Hopkins trade was mind-numbingly moronic

Reminds me of our stupid O’Reilly trade that so many here liked

“Just how much they need to shed will depend entirely on what Cirelli's next deal looks like. He's coming off an entry-level contract as well, and we'd imagine a new deal would start in the $3-4 million range, depending on term.”

Isn’t he asking for 7ish?
I was thinking it would be around 5.5mil,
Bc Tampa always seems to get their players to sign cheaper than they should

That article didn’t mention what Cirelli is asking. I haven’t heard anything about it elsewhere.

Those two significant players to miss. Fortunately, Bottenger hasn't been horrible, so they can probably limp along with him in there.
Hopefully Davis can step-up while Brown is out, but Brown does open up the deeper routes for him and Diggs.

I still want to know why Nsekhe hasn't gotten a look really at all. I thought he was pretty good last year.

If you mean to replace Ford:
Different positions in OT and OG, and lect vs right.
Some players can adjust, some can't

If you meant in general at RT, I guess William's has done well enough (?)

What's worse? Him posting that, or you waiting almost 3 hours until 3am to respond to him... At 3am you're telling someone to get help on a hockey blog... This is beyond irony. You're unbelievable.

Would Beane dump Morse after this season considering his health impacting productivity, coupled with any Cap savings it would yield when next season will be brutal financially?

Thanks.
Nothing new, but I guess it depends on who is available at C and RG in FA. Fleciano could be decent C if a good RG were available.
I can see Beaner going very heavy on the D side in the draft, for 1 Gap DT, LB, Edge, CB.

Nsekhe is strictly a tackle and Dawkins and Williams have been healthy all year and have been our best olinemen

Is Winters better than Nsekhe? I'm not saying he's not because I'm not in any way qualified to reasonably assess OG play, but I dont remember thinking that Nsekhe was bad last year. And then Winters is cast off the poopty Jets and he took over. Idk, just weird to me that he hasn't gotten any looks.

I also root for Nsekhe. He really turned his life around and redeemed himself

Thanks for correcting me on Winters, I have a mental block with his name...must be since moving to FL that I want nothing to do with snow and cold anymore, lol.

I agree, last year Nsekhe was good but I guess he wasn't and still isn't up for full time duty...only thing I can imagine.

It's a good question.

That, and how does trading maybe the best receiver in football for a 2nd rounder equate to trading maybe the 20th best player at his position?

David Johnson is the NFL equivalent to the Kyle Okposo contract too.

So they got the best receiver in football for one of the worst contracts in football and a 2nd rounder.
