Bill Gates was talking about how the States should be moving now to set up websites that would collect health information to help with implanting microchips, er rolling out vaccine.

The Oxford vaccine that they announced had good results will be easier t distribute and cheaper to produce.

It will be interesting to see if Biden signs onto the international protocols about making sure poorer countries get vaccines. Canada is a signatory.

I suspect this sentiment is a lot more prevalent than one would expect. Anecdotally, I've heard a few people say the same thing.

Conversely, my best friend, who has no kids nor a significant other, is not an essential worker, and can work indefinitely remotely, has said he wants it as soon as it's available.

Go figure.

Can the NHL (and other sports leagues) not just go directly to Pfizer/Moderna and buy the vaccine?

The vaccine isn't the property of any government as far as I know. What's to stop a sports league from offering $1,000 per dose to get it earlier?
