Didn't habs get a blame from the NHL for putting players with concussions on the ice?
- Fredo

Not his fault, back in the day they treated "hockey headaches" with an aspirin and a shot of Canadian Club

Yeah...I thought the few last drafts were a bit different under him, seems he was calling the shots more instead of Timmins. I guess they will promote Serge Boisvert and that will be it.

So you're telling me the last few drats, who at first glance look very promising, was Churla calling the shots and now he's gone? So now we're back to Timmins and his amazing "I totally would have" picks?

I don't know for sure, but I remember the video the Habs released about the 2019 draft, he was the one pushing for Caufield at the table. I think that Timmins had a secondary role in the draft since he has been appointed assistant GM

There are two constants in drafting lore.

1. Montreal picking USHL guys

2. Minnesota picking some high school guy who sucks, but everybody hopes will be the diamond in the rough.

It's been a while since either team drafted a superstar as well.

The Dubas era is quickly adding "tiny dudes who we hope will be studs when they're 25" which makes more sense than the Hunter era of "Hey, this guy is old and big, he'll join the team or suck!"
