once again a very good blog Karine. you are pretty lucky to have met him. good for you.
for me, his playoffs performances, especially 93, stand out. that's where you see real gamers. they can elevate their play in crucial moments.
and how can we forget his last game as a Habs? maybe not glorious, but certainly memorable.
I was over 20 when he won his 1st cup, so I didn't have him as my idol growing up, but he sure remains a great among the greats.

I will. Already have a place in sight. But I need to target a few places, at least.

I really need to get out of there.

it's nice that you take the time to strategize and really think about your next move

Yes. Being doing insomnia for years. It's mostly under control by now most of the times, but yeah.

I'm use to go to work with 1 or 2 hours of sleep if any at all. But the job has been so hard lately that my body said (frank) that.

J'ai un petit ajout à faire à mon cv. L'endroit qui a un poste d'ouvert que j'ai en tête à l'air bien. Au pire si je vois que c'est moins tentant que prévu, je passe à autre chose.

it happens to me sometimes when I'm more anxious, and I can barely function if I don't get proper sleep so I can't imagine going through that on a regular basis. and yeah, you need to be careful not to do a burnout

Lucky you, You probably remember the first conquest way better than I do then, I was 6 when they won in ‘86 and my dad was waking me up for the games out west after I had slept a few hours before the game...THAT is good parenting.

Yeah that was memorable but definitely not part of my faves... I knew there and then that that was it, when they showed him talking to Corey I was like nooooooooooooooo! Do you remember a few years back Price was mocked by the Bell Centre crowd for making a routine save? He lifted his arms up just like Roy had done that night, I hated seeing that again...thankfully nothing came of it that time.

Won’t call it a favorite memory, but game 3 of ‘96 Final
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ky2QHT4UJ4M
Pen’s Barasso would hide inside the net, Roy stood there as the rats rained down.
Then another one soon after, both goals that were a little surprising to see Roy let in.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dN60rbyE_1I
Again, he wouldn’t cower inside the net to avoid the deluge. You could almost see the smoke coming out of his ears.
During the intermission he told his team, “There will be no more rats!”
Panthers didn’t score again over the next seven periods of hockey.
Panthers swept, the rat throwing after every goal (thankfully) was to be no more. (Now only at the end of a victorious game).

Yeah I remember that! Didnt that come about because Mellanby killed one with his stick before the start of the playoffs?
