they're sure big on WPG lollll.... so the habs would be underdogs? a bit surprised but I don't mind that - Pat1993
I had the same reaction...maybe they are so Leafs centric that they didnt notice the moves the Habs made this offseason lol |

Unless Helley can win the Vezina again, the Jets are in trouble. |

Still needs to prove it clicks on the ice. Can I remind you where they were heading before the pandemic and the pity playoffs? |

Oh i know BUT they were healthy this summer, they used the kids much more and with the influx of new players i think they deserve more than 6 even if its just on paper. Writers league wide are putting the Habs in the most improved category...and so did players in a survey which i cannot find right now |

of course they still need to prove themselves, but to say that the only team they'll be better then is Ottawa in a Canadian division is a bit exaggerated

C’mon you know full well i’m making a general comment about the fact that Sportsnet is always reporting every little leafs thing and not much about the Habs hence why it wouldn’t be surprising if they missed the Habs’ offseason |

On paper (which means little)
1. Toronto
2. Calgary?
3. Vancouver
4. Montreal
5. Edmonton
6. Winnipeg
7. Lolttawa
2/3/4 are pretty interchangeable and Toronto can (frank) it up entirely, but I think just on paper, they're the ones to beat. |

They did but Josh Anderson with his 1 goal season is a BIG question mark, Romanov is a big ??, Toffoli probably the best sure value.
Still think Van, Toronto, Winnipeg are a notch above, habs in the mix with Calgary and Edmonton.

Vancouver has a potential rookie starter and a guy who has declined like Ribeiro at a strip club. They're a wildcard. People say that their young guys will improve (which they presumably will), but Toronto and Montreal's "young guys" are the same age basically. |

Who will all put 60+ points on the board.
Habs might have 1..2 maybe 3 guys that will reach that mark? |

I guess you're unimpressed with the recent moves, but the habs would still have the edge on D and in net

I have VERY impressed, it's the best summer I have seen by a habs GM. Still they are 1-2 years of maturity of Suzuki and Kotkaniemi from being a top team. Also still need a puck moving PP quaterback
Hellebuyck does a fine job in the net. |
