Hearing that NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr and NHL commissioner Gary Bettman haven't spoken since last Thursday. Which speaks to how the players feel regarding the NHL's salary deferral/escrow asks. Still time to salvage this, however. I think next week is important. - VanHockeyGuy

Well, at the risk of being pigeonholed, you're wrong on so many levels.
First, it's not a carrier vaccine, it doesn't stop you from getting and transmitting the virus, it allows your body to recognize and create antibodies bodies so that you don't get as sick.
It's also between 20 and 40 percent effective, herd immunity requires 70 prevent of the population to be effectively vaccinated, therefore the flu vaccine will not prevent the spread. - Pres.cup
There are 13 vaccines in Phase 3 trials right now and they all work differently. I don’t know if you can pigeonhole them all as the same. Here’s a link to an article that explains how these vaccines work and identifies which ones are in Phase 3 trials.

Totally does. - Makita
Running red lights, wearing seat belts, etc... will result in a much, much non debatable higher level of deaths then a 20 percent effective flu vaccine.
Gaslighting argument to suggest that running red lights is the same as getting a flu vaccine. Hence, non contextual.

As my father, a navy man, told me as a young boy...
“Bravery is not the absence of fear, it doesn’t mean you’re not afraid, it’s the ability to recognize fear, push it aside....and do it anyways. Actively participate in saving your own life. Keep moving forward, never quit, and you’ll be fine.” - Pacificgem

Do you get a drivers license to operate your vehicle?
Do you get insurance for said vehicle?
Do you stop at red light/Stop signs at intersections?
Then do you wait for the light to turn green before proceeding?
Do you slow down in school zones?
Do you get safety tickets for your job?
Do you evacuate a building when an alarm goes off?
How about wearing some form of clothing at a beach on a hot sunny day?
When traveling, out of country do you take a passport with you?
When an emergency vehicle with lights and siren blaring is coming do you pull over to the side of the road?
If you answered Yes to any of these questions, then you are a sheep, as all of these situations are government or government body rules/law.

😆, the other thread has all sorts of helpful information.
As a father, I'm not going to experiment with my 6 or 2 year old children. That's a line I will draw in the sand. - Pres.cup
I don’t blame you. I blindly vaxed my kids but today I’m not so confident I would still do it. Years ago the H1N1 vaccine caused narcolepsy in a multitude of young children. Hard to predict long term effects.
If you call the "flu" covid in 2018, and look at this years numbers (covid and flu being lumped together, That's including people passing other ways, but having covid)
2018 had more deaths from flu then 2020 with covid/flu combined.
That's just numbers.
I would concede, mitigation and the attempts at shutdown helped slow things.
So pearl clutching, and think of the children might work for you, I respect that, but the numbers might disagree.
I got my flu shot a month ago, if you don't wanna. Your choice.
I'd get the vaccine when it comes. Mr. Bill can track me, I'm pretty boring.
(although the people who sing his praises, don't see how much richer he'll become from his "investments" in vaccines. He has a vested interest in "selling" his cure. No conspiracy, just truth.
I will get the vaccine when it comes, I'm a grown up, if it messes me up, I can sue.
Mocking someone who is having a thoughts about an untested (in terms of conventional vaccines having YEARS of public testing) on there child.?

Makes me think that poster doesn't have kids. - WelfareWerewolf
I don't know if you're referring to me with this, but I'll just say not vaccinating your kids for anything is very dangerous. Things like Polio, Measles, Chicken pox are showing up again because of anti-vaxers and the ones who pay the price are the children who never got to choose for themselves.
The flu shot of course is voluntary and if you're dead set against it no ones making you get it. You are opening yourself up to criticism however.

Not referring to you, or I'd quote you.
The others who think that is who I'm talking about.
EDIT: My two adult kids have all their shots. Anti vax'ers are silly.
ALL of those vaccines have had years of testing was my point.
PLUS : MY POINT OF HIGHLIGHTING A SENTANCE BUT NOT ADRESSING THE WHOLE POINT!
two sentences above your highlight, I said I got MY flu shot a month ago.
