I don’t eat hot dogs. Haven’t had a carb in 3 years
......but you've been deep throating wieners for the last 10 years!
Sorry, couldn't help myself. |

I was putting the problem of space travel into perspective. If you want to talk science fiction I’m all for that; warp speed or light speed. People don’t rationally talk about it yet because it’s too fantastical. Might as well talk time travel or worm holes based on what you wrote above.
Again, to put 20,000 mph into perspective, that’s like 26x the speed of sound. There are physical limitations to what humans can endure. - bloatedmosquito
There are physical limitations to the amount of Gs we can take during acceleration and deceleration, there is not a cap on how far our bodies can go.
We are also talking about theoretically more advanced species, worm holes and interdimensional travel are theoretically possible at the cutting edge of math and science. They have done it with particles before. Our known technology is not advanced enough yet though. Although there is also a theory that the technology available to civilians is at least three generations behind that which is available to the military research branches.
100 years ago a computer/ cell phone/ spaceship where all as outlandish as what this discussion encompasses. Who's to say that some of this tech doesn't exist.
Back to relativity, the close to the speed of light your noisy travels the slower time passes, with solar sails(real thing, they use the suns radiation to sail) and other tech(nuclear powered proton engines) it is possible to be in a state of constant acceleration until you behind to decelerate, that would mean that for the occupants, that 1000 year journey would theoretically only last 10 years or so, most being the acceleration and deceleration process.

Thanks Carol. Division realignment could be fun for a bit. The Eastern advantages just more amplified. Though travel is looking less possible with out of control Covid. They will have to start hybrid bubbles if they want to get a season off the ground period. |

They were f'd either way. For others, Team depth will be interesting. How much it comes into play under condensed multi back back game schedule. |

TAM is in a hot mess cap wise with only 19/23 signed, zero cap space. VAN right behind them with 23/23 signed. Cernak & Cirelli RFA's. It would be great to be able to do another trade with them. - VanHockeyGuy
