I’m not suggesting anything about Kakdey. I saw him play in WJ in Victoria and wasn’t really impressed, and I definitely think he should have played another year in Europe (a la Petey). I only mentioned that they sold high on a position of strength moving Raanta knowing that Lundqvist was still their guy and they had two other guys not far behind. If Canucks had signed Markstrom I would have hoped they traded Demko wouldn’t you?

I get the idea of what you are saying.

I'm just saying that there's a very fine line between having a whole heck of a lot of first round picks "shinny new toys" vs having actual NHL talent. Some times it works out and sometimes it doesn't.
