3 years pardon me. How many years do you think top prospects play n the AHL before they become more suspect then top prospect? This just dosnt apply Liljegren. Maybe it has changed used to be 3 years was the benchmark.
while it may not make sense the point was it is a good base to create a deal value wise is all that was being said. - login
If you look around the league at some of the top D men theres some that only need a year or two to break into the league like Makar, Doughty, Hughes. Then theres others like Josi, Klingberg, Paryko that can take 4-5 years. Dmen have always developed later than forwards. So I dont think Liljegren whos played very well in the AHL from 18-20 and performed in his few NHL games is still a prospect. He's currently 21, not the time to start calling him suspect when he's been developing at a nice pace.
So going back to the deal. Nylander + Liljegren for Sanheim + Laughton doesnt make sense for the leafs. |

he didnt look that good when he played for the Leafs.
Sandin is younger, and looked far better than Lilly..

What if JVR + Ghost was offered? Just kidding. That's more in the realm of Gaudreau or Nylander. I don't think Byfield is going anywhere either. Ek has never mentioned his name so I assume there are no rumours about him. But maybe in a few years. We've seen top prospects like Sergachev get traded or even Seth Jones for Johansen involved two pretty young guys. That one came out of nowhere though. I don't even think Ek had them on the rumour chart that year. - Kooleus

You're nothing more than a sorry joke for an excuse of anything. Making up bullpoop in order to try and have any sort of relevance while making up having sources in the NHL that feed you this clear bullpoop, is nothing more than pathetic |

So here's the thing...It is true that the Wild were hot after Nylander and were 'in' on him before he signed his extension with the Leafs, but that was Paul Fenton, not Chuck Fletcher. So...yeah... |
