All these names have me hungry for French/New Orleans quinine. Crawfish pie with etouffe?

I was thinking Swiss Chalet myself but your suggestions will suffice. šŸ‘

How has Barre-Boulet not played a single NHL game yet? Is it just his size? He's 23 and has been an elite AHLer two years in a row now. Hard to believe he hasn't been worth even a single callup.

Solutions to Wings problems:

1- Draft Owen Power in the 2021 draft.
2- Draft Shane Wright in the 2022 draft.
3- Sign or trade for a decent starting goalie.
4- Bring in a good coach.

Wings can then start to compete for the playoffs and eventually for a cup

The proof was always in the ā€œairā€ the next day šŸ˜§šŸ¤’. Remember when Big Boy had the Friday fish fry buffet? What the heck were we thinking eating buffet perch from Big Boy?!?!?

Yeah, i think he will likely be on team Canada for the WJC. I wouldn't expect too much from him there though given how young he is for that tournament.

Only problem with my plan is they would need a lot of draft lottery luck since both guys might end up going 1st overall. I'm hoping their luck changes for the next 2 drafts.

Colour me UNimpressed with how the graft
.....ooppss; DRAFT currently functions. This whole deal about having ā€œplay-offā€ teams lottery eligible is horse crap. I firmly believe that the team holding the Wooden Spoon is the undeniable #1 selector in the draft, cap it at two selections in a row, then they move to the lottery for 2-4. Something has to give. Utter madness. Of course Iā€™m biased, how can a die-hard who threw snowballs at Al Ackerman (Det sports news reporter for Ch 7) for calling his favourite hockey team ā€œThe Dead Thingsā€ NOT be biased?!? But seriously, there must be significant change.

I agree, they need to make some changes to the lottery for sure. Denying the worst teams the impact players they need is not a good way to go.

Well i'm off to bed even though i took the day off tomorrow, i still need to be up early to make calls and go pick up the 2020 Durango RT i just bought

Oh man. I wouldnā€™t touch the ā€œbrown barā€. There is a place in Mackinaw City called ā€œDixiesā€ that serves fried pollack. Itā€™s amazing, and they give you a pound! Havenā€™t been in years but man itā€™s good

Iā€™ve not been to Mack City in decades. Last time was after my folks sold the house in Curtis...huge U-Haul & dadā€™s tractor-trailer filled to the gills. Stopped at Buckhorn Brewery where I destroyed the 70oz steak challenge. Man, those were the days. Met Uncle Ted outside of Grand Marais at an airport, we were snowmobiling, and hung out with him a bit, maybe 80 of us hanginā€™ out & racing sleds on the dirt airfield. Love the UP, Timber Charlieā€™s had a 5lb cheeseburger brought out on a pizza pan. Watched the Wings play several nights at different bars, always packed, rabid fans.

I think the Wings will be ok in spite of the COVID impacts, huge draw to play for The Captain, Wingā€™s history, etc... Arizona, Smashville, Panthers....not so much. I see them moving at best, in the future. King Gary taking control of teams may work when times are good, but not looking good in current conditions. We do need substantial changes, still. Agree that players make the coach, but more strongly believe conversely. We need a strong coach, regardless of the calibre of players. Trotz would be a beast in DET, but does he have the endurance to facilitate an on-going rebuild like weā€™re under-going now?
