Why is it just on the players?

Well the CBA doesn’t allow a lockout. They’d have to argue that unforeseen circumstances between when they negotiated extension and now. Law (who has name law) saws it will come down to arguing details.

But I agree overall the problem is that the league comes down to lowest common denominator of weakest franchise. I don’t necessarily like the idea of contraction but stumbling along like this is tiresome.

Who do you think is shouldering the most risk? The league itself is in a precarious position and I think the players should recognize it and reconsider their position. Contraction will mean that many big and little league players will be out of a job.

Look, I hate Bettman and I rarely side with owners on any of these disputes -- but when the very life of the NHL is in question......

Just kidding - I'm totally jelly. One of my favourite small museums is the Museum of the City of New York - just a few blocks north of your old in-laws.

My wife's former company had corporate apartments at 81st and Amsterdam - $60 cleaning charge if you used it for personal use - and they never bothered to collect.

I cried the day I learned the company had been sold - but the apartments weren't part of the sale.

I find it incredible that someone with an actual job in Hockey thinks the Leafs could finish 5th in a Canadian division.

John Lennon because I had seen him in a store in NY almost exactly a year before (my ex literally ran into him) and I could see the building where he lived across the park from my in-laws. He decided he was going to live his life in the city and it cost him.

The Beatles were the first group that I ever noticed and he was the (frank) you guy from the start. I was going to school I’m Washington and got up to NY for Christmas about a week after. It was almost physical.

Well, that's certainly a hot take.

Chapman had been planning to murder Lennon for months and wasn't even a resident of NY. Hell, he took a trip there to commit the murder and then decided against killing Lennon and returned home, instead flying back home to Hawaii and telling his goddamn wife what he was planning and she didn't do a (frank)ing thing about it. Then, he reneged an appointment with a clinical psychologist and the rest is history.

The point here is that Chapman would likely have killed Lennon regardless of whether it was in the big city or not.
