The only tickets I was ever given were for a concert cancelled 2 days later, thank gawd, it was KISS.
Edit: I was given a whole season of Seahawks tickets, the strike year with scab players - A_SteamingLombardi
What year were the KISS tickets? I would have liked to see them live back in the day. Never got the chance. From the footage I’ve seen, they put on a pretty good show. |

Never walked out of a concert but the list I was thrown out of is pretty long. Not a chance I remember half of the bands. |

Not walking out of concert stories but concerts I should have walked out of but didn't because... girls and what we do to try to get them.
1) Young me liked a girl so... went to an Amy Grant concert. Jebus singer, Amy Fcuking Grant. I think it's Christian country music. To this day, I'm filled with shame (got the girl though.)
2) My buddy had a gf who got tickets for 2 couples (my buddy, gf, gf's sister and gf's sister's husband.) The husband bailed so buddy guilts/begs/bribes me into being the fourth.
That's how I ended up going to a... Kenny G concert. |

Sweden seems to care very little about lefties and righties since in some years they have taken 8 lefties.
Two righties were drafted in 2019 draft and the other righty was drafted at the top of the 2nd round this year.
Hopefully he has a good camp so we can all see what he brings and so Ruby can find a proper slot for him in the line up. |

No hockey to talk about, here's a subject, concerts you've walked out of?
Mine is Ted Nugent, The Scorpions and The Pat Travers Band.
Pat Travers and The Scorpions were great but we were headed to the door during Ted's 2nd song. - A_SteamingLombardi
Foo Fighters. Bloody awful live and all Grohl did was burp and fart into the microphone all night between tunes... packed up and left. Highly overrated band. |

was given tickets to go see Dave Matthews at GM Place. Didn’t like him but I never refused free. Invited a friend who absolutely detested them and we sat in the upper bowl and smoked dope the whole time and pissed off everyone around us. Have never been around music fans so uptight in my life. So funny.
Edit: come to think about it, I may have left that concert early... so Idol and Matthews. - bloatedmosquito
Great stories and a good topic by ASL. I'd say the worst for me was Steve Earl at the Jack Singer in Calgary. 20 mins between songs spouting political crap about George Bush and finally someone in the crowd stood up and yelled at the top of his lungs...'shut the f*uck up and play Guitar Town'
Crowd went dead-silent then cheered.... and then he played the tune...
Walked out shortly after. |

Saw KISS twice in the 80's (no makeup) Animalize and Asylum tours and they were actually pretty good live. Eric CArr's drum solo was ironically the best I had ever seen and I have seen Neil Peart and Daney Carey multiple times lol.
Then we saw them on the first leg of the reunion tour (1997?) when Ace and Peter re-joined and it wasn't stellar. Theatrics were ok but the music and sound were way off which really hindered the show. Just sounded like white noise |

I was thrown out of ACDC Heatseeker tour back in 88. I was going to rush the floor from the upper deck of BC Place. But its a good drop down so was was hanging off a handrail waiting for security to not be ready. Someone chopped my hands and I fell, right next to a concert cop... dragged by my hair and thrown out. But helped start a riot outside and made BCTV news yelling FRANK YOU PIGS!
Ah to be 15 again.... |

Also got tossed from the Hip show at the Pacific Coliseum in 96. One of those days where you didn't eat all day, drank, smoked about 12 joints from 10am on then dropped shrooms. I was on the floor in the madness and started to feel a little faint... I made it off the floor, up the stairs through the Reds, and onto the concourse. I remember seeing the doors and needing to feel fresh air, and almost made it. Passed out face first, I guess judging by the goose egg on my forehead. Woke up to security dragging me and throwing me out.
Moral of the story is eat food.

Agreed, Canucks will be much better than many are giving them credit for.
I get the players were promised something but it is time to get a grip...the idea of paying 72% of salaries without any ticket sales, concessions, additional events, etc. makes no logical sense. Owners are ultra rich so of course they are looking to claw some back...it is how they operate but players need to accept where their bread is buttered and suck it up. Otherwise, they should start their own league so that they can keep 100% of the profits. - CoolerHeads
Some of the teams will still be profitable without fans, or should I say, some owners will still make millions. Other teams are never profitable, even with fans.
Your boss comes to you and says revenue is down because of Covid, I’m cutting your salary. How you feeling about that? It’s certainly the case where I work. I work ducking hard and my job hasn’t become easier because volume is lower, it has become harder.
Start their own league, lol, who’s going to play in the old “owners” league, you? |

There is probably a lot of people on facebook or social media there listening to the infectious disease experts and doctors that spend their days writing articles about how Covid-19 is fake.
