Such an underrated album!

Maggie May by Rod Stewart just came on Alexa.
I (frank)ing hate songs that have lazy, stupid lyrics. That one is one of the worst. He struggles to rhyme and then when he decides not to it's even worse. Just (frank)ing terrible.
Then "How Deep is Your Love" by the Bee Gees comes on, and as awful as this run of music is, the lyrics on this song are about a billion times better than Maggie May.
Yes, when you have a blood alcohol level about 0.30, the keyless ignition is great!
Just ask Pelle Lindberg.
Too soon? - Atomic Wedgie
Back in the day I knew a guy who was so drunk that he was sitting in his car trying to start his car by putting the key in the glove compartment slot and turning it.
The cops noticed what was going on and promptly arrested him.

I think Maggie May is a classic, but I was in grade 9 when it came out and everything becomes a classic at that age.
Maybe you’re a little too young for it.

I came out of a bar late one night, probably borderline BAC. I was backing out, and a cop car pull up to block me.
I was terrified. Turned out to be a friend of mine who recognized my car. He didn't even ask anything. Just said basically how you doing, go back inside and call a cab. I bought him a bottle the next day

It's so bad
I was 7 years old when it came out. I should celebrate, it has been a long time since I have been too young for anything except CPP.

Rod Stewart's popularity and success continues to baffle me.
"How Deep is Your Love" may not, ironically, have deep lyrics but the harmony and music is pretty transcendent. It's no "Nights on Broadway" though.

He had an amazing voice. His work with Jeff Beck was some of best vocal stuff around, better than Plant in my opinion. Jeff Beck group > Zeppelin

I get 6 hours a day to listen to music on my headphones, that was yesterday’s treat, followed by most of the Animals album - Garnie
Animals is so (frank)ing good. Love Rogers vocals on that record and Dave's guitar work on "Dogs" is some o his best work ever!
Would really like them to release the combined version of "Pigs on the Wing" with Snowy White's solo on something other than an 8-track version of the album.
