He just does that to poke the bear. He was just posting tweets about Gretzky’s unbeatable records yet drops a turd like “Mario’s the best”. - bloatedmosquito
He's trying to lure Vantel back.

With eight ECHL teams already having suspended operations due to COVID-19 for the 2020-21 season, Sportsnet’s Jeff Marek reports that three more teams have announced they will not play next season, including the Cincinnati Cyclones (Buffalo Sabres affiliate), Idaho Steelheads (Dallas Stars) and the Kalamazoo Wings (Vancouver Canucks).

Wayner had a six year head start on Mario and the goaltending was atrocious in the early 80’s. Not to mention Gretzky started his career with five HHOF players while Lemieux had to wait several years before the Penguins surrounded him with that kind of talent.
At the end of the day you’re talking about two of the four best players to ever play the game, along with Bobby Orr and Eric Lindros. |

I figured Lefty would have went with Orr because they're both die hard Trumper's.

#excuses
If we are allowed to be subjective and use ‘maybes’ and ‘could haves’ then I’m going to say Mike Bossy is top four best players ever. |

Gretzky greatest undrafted player ever.
No HHOF yet. Messier started with Gretzky (17yr old)
However, it was Racers owner Nelson Skalbania who, on June 12, 1978, signed 17-year-old Gretzky to a seven-year personal services contract worth US$1.75 million. Gretzky scored his first professional goal against Dave Dryden of the Edmonton Oilers in his fifth game, and his second goal four seconds later.

Bettman has made more double Gretzky did. |
