Sweet, I must have missed the notice that xenophobia was now OK! - Pres.cup
I think that is the wrong ise of the word xenophobia, now if Alberta could somehow separate from Canada, forming their own country, then it would be the proper use of the word.
The agreement Allowed the players to recoup their losses down the road by maintaining the salary cap, it didn't change the 50/50 split.
If they play in empty buildings each team gets 20m give out take, TV money.
So the actual salary cap would be 10m.... that's the issue, the players want full payment and the owners want it to be close to actual value which would be robbing future contracts to pay off Eriksson and other vet's now. - Pres.cup
There is more than just TV money and attendance in revenue though. 5B was the revenue in 18-19
Fan attendance made up about half that, maybe a bit more. So they would have around 2.5B to split of other revenue's. Split would be a cap of about 40M per team.

Instead of posting 5 or 6 times here's a big post with a few things. Sorry just skimmed, lots of the same talking points and cynicism. Time to fart in the elevator.
loved the star witness, she rocked. totally proved fraud with the video.
(raw hearing video, no network spin, enjoy)
Comics are amazing. Modern myths, like we have enjoyed for 1000's of years. Unless you're Grumpy Bear.
Tell a story, somehow it gets turned into an insult of groups of people? can't make this poop up.
And JP. Any questions you may have of opinions you might have heard WILL be answered in this interview. (Getting interviewed by someone who you can tell despises him, and him being a pro)
Jordan Peterson? Isn’t he that writer who had to go to Russia to kick his Benzodiazepine addiction? And why should I listen to such a person? - bloatedmosquito

Listening to a drug addict about how you should live your life makes sense after you realize that they're asking you to listen to a star witness talking about voter fraud who just got off probation herself.

Watched the whole video... half hour I'll never get back but it does prove that some shady business happened in Georgia. The slurpers are in an echo chamber and it won't matter though.

Xenophobia (from Ancient Greek: ξένος, romanized: xénos, meaning "stranger" or "foreigner", and phóbos, meaning "fear"[1]) is the fear or hatred of that which is perceived to be foreign or strange.[2][3][4] It is an expression of perceived conflict between an ingroup and an outgroup and may manifest in suspicion by the one of the other's activities, a desire to eliminate their presence, and fear of losing national, ethnic or racial identity.
The way Albertans have been discussed is by definition a fear or mistrust of strangers. In this forum people have discussed the previewed conflict between them and us and expressed a desire to eliminate their presence.
The discussion around Albertans as being different then British Columbians is by its very nature, xenophobic.
Who goes to Russia to kick a “drug addiction”? If true, that’s like going to Burger King to treat your diabetes. - bloatedmosquito
The wiki tells it.
Not just the benzos, his weird all beef diet, plus the stress of being under a microscope for years. Why not go to the ends of the earth to get away? Plus he was prescribed those meds.
None of it matters cuz it doesn't fit what you want to say. but its true.

Pro rate it for a half season and that number drops substantially to 20m per team..... either way, nowhere near the 60m that the players want.

Buddy, tell me what an 'ex-addict' is? You have much more experience than me but I thought the belief amongst addicts is that there is no such thing as a former or ex-addict. That it's a daily struggle.
Also, why do you mention that he was prescribed the drugs? Does that make the addiction more justified?
I've also been under the impression that a lot of his belief system is centred around not making excuses and taking personal responsibility. How does social assistance/drug addiction square with that?
You have much more knowledge than me so please enlighten me.

The players agreed to give up like 20% for a few years. If 10M per team was the case, that would be asking them to give up more like 50% easily.
No team would be able to survive of 10M in revenue. It wouldn't even be a thought to play.

He's a smart guy even if controversial. His detractors try to pigeonhole him as a bigot but his words speak for themselves. I didn't think I'd like him based on what others say that he represents but after hearing some of his philosophical discussions I find his words are right more often then wrong.

The 10m is just the TV revenue.
The players agreed to a 30 percent pay cut over 4 years with it being paid back to them over the following years, so no actual loss in salary at the end of the day.
But they seem to want the full 70 percent regardless of actual income or prorating to games played. This puts the onus on future players to make up the shortfall rather then current contracts. Screwing the next generation of players to get paid now rather then each taking a hit to pay for it.

The premise of most of his lectures are about taking personal responsibility. I appreciate you have not watched anything, try reading (or audiobook).
I think there is a difference between getting addicted to proscriptions, and banging heroin or smoking crack. You don't I guess.
I'll take over 30 years of clinical knowledge over you saying he's an ex dope head.
So if you have ever done drugs, everything you have done/said is null?
Who am i kidding, you never give straight answers
OOOOOO. almost missed the welfare dig. good on yea.
