Deshaun Watson belongs in the conversation for top 5 QB in the NFL with all due respect.
The Bills are a Super Bowl Contender because they are a very well rounded football club.
The Texans have a junior varsity defence and special teams and can’t run the ball so they aren’t diversifable offensively.
I would not be surprised at all to see the Bills go to the Super Bowl because I think they have the recipe to emulate what the Broncos were able to do this past Sunday against the Chiefs but instead of having the worst QB in the league the Bills have a top 5 QB.
It’s a team sport, it’s not Deshaun Watsons fault the Texans suck. He is more then good enough to win a Super Bowl.
Is it Aaron Rodgers’ fault that his defence gave up 220 yards on the ground in last years NFC championship game ?
It sure as heck wasn’t Drew Brees’ fault that Diggs caught the Minneapolis Miracle because the safety took the worst angle to the football I have ever seen in my life.
Does it help if you have an elite QB ? Absolutely.
However as the Giants proved this past weekend, in a one game sample size it is possible to beat an Elite QB if you play a pretty damn good team game. I don’t think anyone is going to mistake Colt McCoy being in the same stratosphere as Russell Wilson. - Pegullaville
Conversation for top 10 maybe:
Machomes
Rodgers
Wilson
Josh
Lamar
Murray
Watson among them.
Big ben and tom b still firing.
Wouldnt build a franchise around them at their ages, but would definitely rather start them in a playoff game. (Still)
There will be exceptions, always.
Watson , burrow, tua and herbert all cant play every position. You know that

Not off topic but not completely on this topic
There are like two QBs I would take over Allen right now if I was starting a franchise
Mahomes
Watson
That's pretty much it. You could convince me that Allen and Watson are even.

Missed you guys. Good stuff 36 👍
Unfortunately my source is a hockey dad with some great Sabres connections. Rinks are closed to parents and we just drop and pick up. No time to chat.
I'll let me cousin know you were asking about him 😉 - Boss34

If we're looking at body of work so far, then I agree. I do think that we will be talking about both Herbert and Kyler Murray in the same way in a couple of years.

I don't know anyone who ever doubted Watson as a top QB in this league
Yet another thing Pegulaville constantly takes credit for, despite myself and several other saying numerous times over the past few years that he's pretty amazing. |

I would agree with you 100%.
Justin Herbert looked incredible until he ran into the Bills and Pats in back to back weeks and could definitely insert himself into this conversation as well.
Also have Trevor Lawrence to think about. |

the inaccurate Josh Allen is pretty damn accurate with a few years under his belt and a talented group of WR's
beats throwing to community college scrubs vs oregon or nebraska
or throwing to zay jones or robert foster |

Must have missed the conversation earlier this season then when I got taken to the woodshed for having Watson ranked top 5.
Several posters said he was average and may not even be ranked in the top 10.
Perhaps you were not one of them.
It is what it is, cry about it ? |

My only other account I’ve had on this website is Swedish Jesus. That was deleted after it seemed that I jinxed our golden boy.
Fitz and I had a debate for months back in 2018 on the virtues of bottoming out or trading that years pick (Dylan Cozens) to “win now”.
That would be a hell of a troll effort for me to argue with myself for that long.
Also something else you can cry about if Cozens pans out cause I won’t shut up about how it was me versus a vast majority of the posters on here blinded by the 10 game winning streak.
Stick to worrying about my gf how my girl friend deals with me Sherlock Holmes.

Not comparable IMO
Fitz loves to stick his foot in his mouth trying to "call out" people for exaggerating on whether Allen or the offense is great, or a 4th round rookie has looked really good.
Really harmless comments that he had to argue only for them to blow up in his face incredibly quickly
Pegulaville is just being stubborn |

I'll take credit for taregeting Cozens...very, very early on, like in Nov preceding that draft.

Right, and we already came to the conclusion that the Pats won 3 of those 6 Super Bowls with passing offences ranked in the bottom half of the league.
Ditto Big Ben in 2005.
Peyton Manning in 2015 doesnt count either.
When the Legion of Boom destroyed one of the best offences of all time Russell Wilson QB’ed the 26th ranked passing offence. The #1 defence whooped the #1 passing offence.

Lord, I hope you're right MP. It's hard not to get excited by a few young guns, but we've been down this road many times before. I like that you didn't shy away from pointing out the Baileys and Baptistes of the world, two guys I think we all saw as sure fire NHLers for a couple years.
Ruots, Laaks, Ryan Johnson, UPL, Cozens...number of guys showing some real promise. With some of the contracts we have already on the books, it would do wonders for this franchise to get some big impact from a few of those guys. |

Not passing efficiency, which matters more than actual yards. They were ALWAYS top 10 in passing efficiency
See, when you destroy teams, you tend to not have to pass the ball for 4th quarters almost every game.

Sure, and there are many HOF QB’s that have very poor playoff records.
There are many QB’s that landed on the right team and won multiple SB’s and made the HOF because of the strength of their respective teams.
Was Terry Bradshaw elite ?
John Elway didn’t win a SB until Terell Davis showed up. Most of his elite passing seasons be made it to the dance only to get killed.
Peyton Manning had an 11-13 playoff record until Miller/Ware and the No Fly Zone won him his last 3 games to give him a 14-13 record.
Brees is 9-9 and lost to Cousins and Keenum in recent years.
Having an elite QB gets you to the playoffs, having an Elite team wins you a ring.

You've changed my mind. We should trade Allen for Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley so we can run and stop the run |
