The running game was a huge part of their victory over the Chargers - Pegullaville
And that's the cool part about Allen and the Bills offense. Although they're a passing team they can win in different ways. |

What part of losing a Super Bowl 43-8 seems enjoyable to you ?
Broncos couldn’t run the ball or stop the run.
But boy did Manning look good throwing 55 touchdown passes that year.
I think Demaryius Thomas still feels that hit from Kam Chancellor on that first drive. - Pegullaville
Must’ve felt even better watching Jake Plummer and Jay Cutler go 8-8.
Had some excellent years of Olandis Gary and John Lynch though
2004 Denver Broncos - top 5 defense. Rueben Droughns 1240 yards rushing, top 10 in league
10-7 Wild card loss
Man that sounds like fun |

And elite QBs are elite year in, year out. Elite defenses and running games very rarely are.
Russell Wilson has just one year in his 9 year career that he wasn't in the top ten in yards or TDs.
How many defenses in the last 9 years can say that about yards or points allowed? RBs? poop, most RBs don't even have 9 year careers. There're only three guys still even playing since 2012, the ageless wonder, Frank Gore, Adrian Peterson, and Alfred Morris(he had literally one carry last year). And two of those guys are lead pipe lock Hall of Famers. None are going to win the rushing title this year, it's safe to say, or even finish top 20.
Yes, you absolutely can win with a great defense or running game, but the odds are so heavily stacked against you, like 72o vs AA, that it proves the rule that you need a great QB to win by anything more than a fluke.
QB is the foundation on which great teams are built. Full stop. - Wetbandit1
The one year he got the ring. Thanks to the Legion of Boom.
What have the Seahawks done lately in the playoffs despite Wilson playing the best football of his career ? |

Oh my god. Are you an insane person? They made another god damn super bowl which 2 teams out of 32 make every year.
Holy poop man, you can’t seriously actually believe that’s unsuccessful |

Yep , you're right flaccoville.
Teams win in different ways.
Elite quarterback play seems like new "best way "
Really not so new, it's been trending that way for years.

Von Miller and Terell Davis have as many SB MVP’s as Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers.
One more than Russell Wilson.

Edit: I picked Wilson, because he's played for a while and he's the healthiest guy, never missed a start. - Wetbandit1

Well first of all, Von Miller has 1. Terrell Davis has 2 and Russell Wilson has 1. So this whole post makes no sense |

Sure, and the Leafs haven’t won a playoff series with their core of forwards that they have because they can’t defend.
Idc how good Josh Allen is, if the Bills are not able to run the ball when the defence dictates them to run the ball, or if the defence doesn’t hold up there end of the bargain, it won’t matter. - Pegullaville
They did just that against the Patriots.
Regardless, if you pass the ball well, you not only minimize the need for your own running game, you completely eliminate the opposition from running the ball because they can't run from behind.
Jesus christ I can't believe you're still arguing that running beats passing in 2020 |

5 time pro-bowler, 9 1000+ yard seasons including 3 past the age of 30; narrowly missing out on two more by 33 and 39 yards which would've made 5 consecutive after turning 30. That's seriously impressive. |

But wait until the playoffs, we need to run the ball.
Stop throwing it . The 85 bears and trent dilfer agree.
Regardless of what got us to the dance 👎
It's when the season really starts 🙊
And : there's nothing "cool" about Allen , or the Bill's offense . We've been winning this way for the past 2 decades. Winning constantly with stability at qb. |

Wilson has a SB

Understood. His YPC is unimpressive to me. 11 seasons under 4.5.
He has longevity and durability and a poop load of yards. I just dont think at any point in his career he was truly great. He was good or serviceable for a long time. He was/is a durable, dependable grinder |

I've learned it's closer to 90% if you include sure thing current hall of fame qbs.
I'm not sure if there's another qb other than mahomes, I'd rather have than Allen.

Even though when the Broncos, his own team had the epitome of average QB’s between Elway and Manning, in Plummer and Cutler, and Orton , and also a ton of great defenses that had Lynch, Champ Bailey, Brian Dawkins, DJ Williams, and others, along with RB’s that had great years, they had absolutely no playoff success |

The 49ers win that Super Bowl 8 times out of 10.
Mahomes had the 7 minutes of a life time though and got his ring.

That is literally the entire argument. 7 minutes of elite QB play invalidates 53 minutes of run and stop the run |
