I dont see a future for him here. Sabres will have Eichel and cozens down the middle and probably Skinner and hopefully Hall long term on the left. That leaves him as a checking line center or winger. I dont see it

According to Forbes in 2020..... the Sabres lost 10.9 million dollar.

All the metrics say he's god awful defensively. If he's not in the top 6 I dont see how he helps.

I understand he's young and can improve defensively but he is nowhere near that now. Maybe they'll be patient and see where this goes. I think he may be on the way out
