He's a good player with plenty of skill. I still believe he's at least a top-nine scoring forward. And God knows they can use secondary scoring. - Michael Pachla
He may have talent, but ne lacks commitment.
He hasn't shown he can be a difference maker. Not sure what his approach to the offseason has been this past spring, summer, fall, now entering winter...but if he reports in anything but stellar conditioning and improved skating...he will have accomplished the same as Nylander...nothing.
He's got about 2 weeks left, then we'll know. |

No harm no foul on your end :
I'm gonna dig out some of my "truly tasteless jokes" books from the 80's .
And don't you have enough shenanigans going on around here? 😉
You know - the whole running the football in 2020 wins games over elite qb play.
That's gotta take up some serious time, dancing around the truth. - Boss34
Meh I’ve seen Manning and Plummer go deep in the playoffs several times and lose because they couldn’t run the ball or play defence.
I’ve heard all about Elway’s tenure in the NFL and noticed how he won when they had complete teams.
Seahawks are a good example of this as well.
Ditto the Saints.
Even with elite QB play you still need all of the cogs running for the engine to go.
Elite Qb play will ensure you are a consistent playoff team year in and year out.
Won’t win without having a high end defence though and being able to run the ball and control the clock when you need to.
The Bills are capable of running the ball when they have to (Chargers and Pats wins) and they have been playing really good defence since about week 6.
That’s what makes Buffalo a dangerous team come playoff time.
Josh won’t be able to do it alone. |

Tough draw:
Bruins
Sabres
Canes
Devils
Islanders
Rangers
Flyers
Caps
Why would the NHL not have the Flyers and Penguins together? Those games were always fun. Same no Sid versus Ovi - Stripes77
It's pretty much geographical with the exception of the Florida teams in the Central. Unless the NHL somehow put the Sabres in the Pacific, there was never going to be a favorable draw for them knowing there was going to be an all-Canada division.

"Beady continues to talk about and engage with Pegulaville and Fitz when we aren't around"
Proceed to talk about Beady and engage with him when he's not around.
And for the record, that's both of them now gay-bashing me and using homophobic insults to try and get a leg-up.
Same person. It's as uncanny as the X-Men. |

Nah. Their styles of argument are way too different. Flacco uses stats and figures. Fitz argues from emotion.

All the metrics say he's god awful defensively. If he's not in the top 6 I dont see how he helps.
I understand he's young and can improve defensively but he is nowhere near that now. Maybe they'll be patient and see where this goes. I think he may be on the way out - jcragcrumple
I'd like to give him another year. And if he develops further, another one after that. If VO moves to the right side, 3LW might be a good place for him to return to the lineup. If he has a good camp. If not put him in Rochester. |

According to Forbes in 2020..... the Sabres lost 10.9 million dollar.
So somewhere people thought the pegulas lost like 60 mill a year or 45 mill. They were wrong - Sabretooth9
I always read that as a $45-$60 million loss over a number of years.
The real alarming part is that they are the 28th most valuable franchise out of 31, ahead of two teams that could potentially move to different markets sooner rather than later (Arizona and Florida). Not sure what Columbus's deal is. It's a sad illustration of what the Pegulas did to this franchise. |

You haven’t seen Jake Plummer in the super bowl. You haven’t seen Jay Cutler in the Super Bowl, you haven’t seen Kyle Orton in the super bowl, you haven’t seen Tim Tebow in the super bowl.
All four above, have played with top 5-10 defenses. All four of the above had good/great running backs.
You have seen Manning and Elway go to 4 Super Bowls though.
The QB is more important. It’s not a debate. I can’t believe I keep responding to this.
I think it’s because you’re usually pretty logical |

Right and having an elite QB has not gotten the Seahawks any where near a championship since they have lost Sherman, Chancellor, Thomas, and Bennett.
Where as Goff, Goroppolo, and Foles have represented the NFC in the last three Super Bowls.
Stop engaging if you like, I could care less.

You just keep jumping from random team to random team. Let’s stick with your Broncos
HOF QB - 97,98 SB appearances
15 year gap - multiple top defenses, multiple 1,000 yard rushers. No playoff success or SB appearances
HOF QB 2013-2016 - two SB appearances, 1 win.
Why doesn’t your formula add up here? |

In what way shape or form was Manning elite in 2015 ?
So because he’s getting a Golden Jacket I’m supposed to thank him for missing a quarter of that season ?
Brock Oswieler beat the Pats that year and went 5-1
Manning beat the Pats again in the AFC Championship game and they won 20-18 and Manning threw for 172 yards and completed 50% of his passes.
Brady threw the ball 56 times and lost. Why ? DEFENCE.

How many Super Bowls were won because Jim Kelly has a gold jacket ?
If I remember correctly the Bills and the #1 offence in the NFL when they played against the Giants who had the #1 Defence and a rushing attack that kept Jim Kelly on the sidelines for 40 minutes and how did that work out for you ? |

Badly because sh1tbird shanked the kick and Jim Kelly was probably hung over |
