I'm glad we have Allen now so I don't have to listen to as much Jim Kelly idol worship. He's such an arrogant ass. I cringe every time he talks |

In what way shape or form was Manning elite in 2015 ?
So because he’s getting a Golden Jacket I’m supposed to thank him for missing a quarter of that season ?
Brock Oswieler beat the Pats that year and went 5-1
Manning beat the Pats again in the AFC Championship game and they won 20-18 and Manning threw for 172 yards and completed 50% of his passes.
Brady threw the ball 56 times and lost. Why ? DEFENCE. - Pegullaville
15 years of the epitome of average QB'ing, with strong running and defense, for almost all of it, why didn't the Broncos win one?
The Ravens run all over everyone and have good defenses year over year, why did it take a 75 yard run by Flacco (I mean pass) to get into his only Super Bowl ?
The Super Bowl, and the playoffs are dominated by Franchise QB's.

How in (frank)all is this still an argument. The outlier of a successful franchise is the an elite D coupled with an elite run game WITHOUT a great to elite QB.
It's like thinking the Sabres should be good last year despite analytics suggesting they shouldn't, because their bottom 9 is an embarrassment. Yet they started hot. And they died. Because that's what eventually happens to almost all teams without an elite QB. They (frank)ing die. Like this argument. |

Here’s what he’s refusing to acknowledge-
There’s 5-7 elite/great QB’s in the league at a time. It’s not like it’s one
So of course the one that has the best supporting cast around him is probably going to beat the ones that don’t. So yes, usually it’s the most well rounded team.
You need the QB first and foremost above all. Period |

Experience in big situations can still help hall off famers on the back end of their careers.

Joe Flacco won SB MVP and the 49ers out rushed Baltimore 2-to-1!
Are you saying that game proves QBs don't matter? It proves the opposite. His run was like the Hamburglar. He got ridiculously hot |

San Francisco ran and stopped the run and Joe Flacco won MVP while the 49ers ran for 182 yards.

That team during the SB years was FUN, FUN, FUN.
Several of the individual players on those teams were complete A-holes.
Seems many of them have grown up and become more respectable people. |

Remember that one time Wentz had an elite season with a very well rounded team and they won the superbowl with elite play from their backup QB? I member too. I also remember they definitely won with their elite defense and run attack. Oh (frank), nevermind that didn't happen.
I also remember a similar Eagles team sucking ass when their QB tanked.

I was 3 for the last SB so I missed the whole thing. Kelly was on the radio over the summer promoting his charity golf tournament and he comes across as a big shot who doesn't have time for anyone. He has the problematic history of Roethlisberger with no rings and the arrogance of Cam Newton with the same amount of rings.
I hope Allen gets a ring in the next few years so Jim Kelly can be the 2nd best QB in franchise history. Allen is already going to break a few of his records this year. |

Never met the man, but I know people first hand who have (casually), and not one of them has said a nice thing about him. My ex's (much) older sister was harassed by him in the late 80s.
I also believe in redemption, and I personally believe he's payed for his sins. |

I went to Jim Kelly camp a few times as a kid. He'd drive around on a golf cart and sign autographs (Take note, Samson)
He drove up to me, I dropped mine, he ran it over, looked and me and drove away like he was holding up a foursome on the 16th hole.

My uncle knows him relatively well, and the way he makes it sound, he's a much different person than he used to be. My post above refers to people who knew/met him in his playing days. |
