The PPV was 100 bucks, it was a huggy no hit snore fest. Kinda a over priced rip off.
Now all his fights are side shows for da money.
But I'll watch it |

Re Loui to the Comets, from Carol's article.
"Of course, there has been talk that maybe Eriksson could be assigned to the AHL this year. It's hard to speculate on whether that would happen, given that we have no idea how the AHL will operate this season. But financially, there's a disincentive for the Canucks to do so. As Harman Dayal of The Athletic points out, players in the minors are not subject to NHL escrow (currently 20 percent for this season) or this year's 10 percent salary deferral. So Eriksson would be owed significantly more real dollars if he plays for the Comets than he would if he plays for the Canucks — even if a demotion would open up a small amount of additional cap space for Vancouver." |

1m - 20% is 200k, 10% is 80k so costs 280k more real money. Not a terrible amount to eat. Only 2.88m owed in actual salary for 2yrs after escrow/deferral if in the NHL. |

Owners don’t get to keep escrow either. Whether FA pays it directly to the player or some to the player and some to a NHL account. It still leaves FA’s pocket regardless. |

Yeah man that was what I was asking if Utica was for real why not put him there. That cost vs reward possibility of him walking is worth it.
Guess it has to be in stages. NHL camp comes a lot earlier then AHL one. Then the play the kids theme is the "excuse" to ship him. |

Everyone is forgetting FA has to pay for everything to run the Comets for a year just to have a place to put Loui, if there is no gate revenue from Utica FA pays the works on top of Loui's full salary. |

Canucks pay the full 1 million, no matter what, the only difference is that just over a million of his cap gets buried and a roster spot gets freed up |

If Comets are running out of the hell hole called Utica then send him. Roll the dice he doesn't last the season. But if that small amount of cash is make or break, for Canuck multi-million dollar operation, then they can always call him up. |

Not according to Atlantic article, Carol brought up, that his $1M salary gets shaved in NHL vs AHL. |

Even better, he's not running a season without gate revenue and having to make a lease payment. |

Teams will pay out over 300m in bonuses exempt from escrow. Leafs lead the way. FA isn’t hurting too bad at all. |

I am hoping we get to see more of Marie Hui, now that the opera singer has finally been let go. |

I'd like to see an end to the jingoistic nonsense of singing national anthems at every fricking sporting event.
Save it for Olympics, world cups and other international events.

If this season gets going, we will only have to listen to one anthem per game. |
