Lots discussed on #NHLPA Exec Board call today, much of which is still in discussion/negotiation with #NHL.
Talk of expanded rosters, from 23 to 26, with 4 additional taxi squad members for total of 30. Taxi squad could earn AHL salary but receive NHL benefits and per diem

Be pretty easy to have a few with the extra bodies - manvanfan
So players 24-26 are still accruing dollars towards cap? Not sure how many teams can carry 3 extra players that are part of cap hit.
Now if they can pay them full rate and they don't count towards the cap, then we know where Loui gets buried.

It's asking very little to care about your family, friends and neighbours. A small percentage of people look at it as a weakness. They are lonely. - Marwood

I think it would be as if they were assigned to the AHL, but instead stayed in Vancouver and received their AHL pay, and NHL benefits - hotel room to themselves, meal alliance etc.

I doubt the 3 extra players will actually count against the cap.
Need to know asap if Ferland goes onto LTIR if any depth UFA is to be signed.

I didn't need the rest of that to let you know about my idea but I do need Ferland.
If/when Ferland goes on LTIR, its basically like 3.5M in cap space to a team for at least this year. VGK, STL, unless they have someone go on LTIR themselves or make a trade, won't be able to fit under the cap this season.
Short story, Van could trade Ferland for a player with a cap hit under 3M per year.
Options
VGK- (to which Mccrimmon was the GM/owner for the BWK when Ferland played there) Chandler Stephenson 4x 2.75 for max savings plus would give them enough room for 3 ELC's
STL- Oskar Sundqvist 3x2.75 left
MTL- might do it also for Armia or Lekhonen at 2.6 and 2.4 allowing them to sign Hoffman or Granlund at a more reasonable price. Maybe Paul Byron if they kept 500K They have to add a pick then though.

None of those excite me. Too costly or term & want nothing to do with Byron.
A 3-way be nice but this is where idk if JB has the smarts. I do like JB still.
They are included in the family, friends and neighbours as are grocery store employees, transit workers, search & rescue, first responders... Stop being so precious.

Well it matters in the sense that if restaurants are closed for dine-in service and you plan to go out for wings you will either be eating them on the curb or in your car.
Yes, I still live my life. I go to work, I go home. I shop for things I need. I wear a mask in public so other people feel safe, I stand back from people in lines. I wash my hands 40+ times per day. I don’t live in fear, but I’m compassionate to people who do, mostly... - 1970vintage
lol you can still be compassionate that thoughtful without succumbing to the bullsh!t. My buddy withy stage 4 cancer is staying with me until he goes into pallative care. I'll have the boys over for wings at the house if need be..all good. Had dinner with my brother last night as we are dealing with estate matters regarding the passing of my Dad. Will do what needs to be done regardless of the virtue signaling by the govt. Like I said you do what you think you need to do without worrying what other people do. If it makes you feel good do it.
I go to work, go home, shop daily for things I need, wear a mask to get groceries but it's not by choice that's for sure. Only reason I wear a mask at work is to not get fired...not by choice. Don't wash hands 40 times a day as there is no need. Is what it is. Not everyone believes the same thing. I'll respect what you do and you should do the same the other way. There are always two sides. If you are scared of the surroundings and draconian stuff regarding COVID 1984 then stay home and let the rest of us live our lives...mostly...

Sorry to hear about your father.
There's always more than two sides to something like this. Multiple factors.
I actually admire alot of what the healthcare workers have done through this mess...it's too bad the politics of Covid have put them in that position. - LordHumungous
Following safety restrictions isn't a political statement, it's an IQ test.

Explain being forced out of vehicles on ferries in the name of safety so that you can mingle with hundreds during a pandemic. Some rules are an iq test, you fail to follow...
Anybody have a hand held steam cleaner they use? Just wondering if they are worth while to use in like showers on tile or on the stove(gas stove) Or if they use it on blinds or other things.
