I agree. Hold firm until COVID has been sorted, the expansion draft is complete, and changes to salary cap (probably combined with a renegotiation of the CBA) are clarified.

It’s the safest move but not very exciting. But, it’s the Canucks so anytime our team tries to be crafty the NHL seems to screw us like they did for Lu’s contract.

It’s about lowering the # of contacts one way or another. They chose to do that with house hold visits so restaurants and other small biz can stay open. They suck at communicating this. I thought the same thing as you until my buddy who works at the gov’t explained why.

Makes a certain amount of sense. Small businesses been been disproportionately shut down compared to larger retail stores. The partial lockdown is effective, I disagree with the criminalizing of Christmas, especially here in the island where we are well under 10 cases a day with a declining growth rate, they should allow travel within the health districts for the sake of Christmas. Maybe no travel to other districts like Vancouver or Fraser but within and allow people to make up their own minds. I mean they already canceled Thanksgiving and now Christmas and new years eve, that's rough on people's mental state, especially the elderly.
