I hope so. Edler moves about as quick as a square Swedish meatball rolling across the table... cant imagine 2 seasons from now.

Names are interchangeable . I remember going through many threads and many pages last year with Neem about moving out Stecher and Tanev and bringing in Ristolainen and Hamonic. He swore they would be back and I swore there would be a change. I did say also a few times that I like Risto but don't put too much weight on the names .
Same as this upcoming offseason , not this current one . Canucks are going to make two huge moves and be contenders.
It could be OV if he is available or it could be a Paxiorety type trade. The names will fall in place but there will be two big moves.
With Adam Gaudette signing that 1 year show me contract, I can see the Canucks taking a serious look, next off-season, at a legitimate 3rd line centre, such as, Adam Lowry or Philip Danault.
Obviously this would be if Gaudette doesn't drastically improve, this upcoming season.

I follow Gaudette on Twitter and I have very little hope of him succeeding this year.
He is heavy into online gaming and hockey seems to be an afterthought.
I know it is unfair of me to make judgement but it is just a feeling I get.

I have been a critic of his for awhile, even though others think he is going to be fine.
He reminds me of the kid that always skated and worked hard, but was very seldom in the right position.
Hopefully he improves and proves me wrong.

Then you’ve seen that video of him kicking his wife in the head. He seems like a bit of a knucklehead.

I think a few players are on a show me year and I agree about Gauds.
The ideal scenario is Brock turns into a 35 goal scorer and Jake 25. I doubt either of those things happen. I would not trust Jake or Brock going into a long playoff run and definitely not Gaudette.
That is why I think Canucks will move on those players next offseason especially with contract renewals the following year. Trade them for a first and second and free up 8.5 mil.

He’s a 5th round pick that has played 120 NHL games. When you consider the odds, that’s pretty amazing. I can’t understand why anyone would be a critic. If anything, it was another huge win for JB’s drafting record.
