He’s a 5th round pick that has played 120 NHL games. When you consider the odds, that’s pretty amazing. I can’t understand why anyone would be a critic. If anything, it was another huge win for JB’s drafting record.

I follow Gaudette on Twitter and I have very little hope of him succeeding this year.
He is heavy into online gaming and hockey seems to be an afterthought.

I’m just thrilled that the Canucks got anything out of a 5th rounder considering their drafting history. If he doesn’t reach that next level, then fine, he will be replaced. I’ve never thought about AG’s ability to reach next level. My expectations are low to non-existent for a player of that caliber.

Now, if he was drafted in the 1st or 2nd round then I would be very critical of his contribution to date.
